Extortion, bank robbery fuel ISIS bloody drive to establish Sharia caliphate
ISIS was known as Al Qaeda in Iraq until 2006, when it rebranded itself
as ISIS. Did we seriously believe it when our President said "AlQaeda is on the run"? The only thing "on the run" is the name. The attempt by this administration to celebrate the decimation of the "Core of AlQaeda" and minimize the threats of so-called off shoots borders on the surreal.
Individual groups or cells appear to have a high degree of autonomy, raising their own money, often through petty crime, and making contact with other groups only when necessary."source
This basic make-up has not changed. Killing bin-Laden had about as much effect as chopping off one leg of a giant millipede. Even though his particular cell may have been deactivated, by the time of his death, he was largely a symbol. So, we celebrate removing the front leg while closing our eyes to the hundreds of others that continue to propel this ideological movement forward.
If we do not get a firm grasp on the nature of Islamic fundamentalism and its goals, we will find ourselves under the boot heel of Sharia and wonder how we got there. For the West, "Soft Jihad" is the path. From Discover The Networks " Stealth jihadists seek to transform Western
economies by promoting the spread of Islamic banking systems that are
consistent with the principles of Sharia, which forbids the payment or
acceptance of interest fees for money loans, and prohibits investing in
businesses that provide goods or services considered contrary to Islamic
principles. According to a 2008 International Monetary Fund report,
Sharia-compliant financial institutions in non-Muslim countries
(including the United States) have been proliferating at an annual
rate of 10 to 15 percent in recent years. A 2009 report in The Banker estimated that Sharia-compliant assets worldwide had grown by 29 percent over the preceding year, to $822 billion.
Ultimately, stealth jihadists seek -- by exploiting the West’s respect for minority rights and cultures -- to transform pluralistic societies into Islamic states and to gradually sweep away Western notions of legal equality, freedom of conscience, freedom of speech, and more. Giuseppe Bernardini, a Roman Catholic Archbishop in Turkey, notes that Saudi “petro-dollars” have been used "not to create work in the poor North African or Middle Eastern countries, but to build mosques and cultural centers in Christian countries with Islamic immigration." This "program of expansion and re-conquest," says Bernardini, was given voice by a Muslim leader who had candidly told him: "Thanks to your democratic laws, we will invade you. Thanks to our religious laws, we will dominate you." entire post here
In may states, concessions are being made by "the authorities" who are either blind or in collusion with the enemy. The instances are too numerous to be detailed here.
We really need to ask ourselves why are we being "nudged" toward tolerance for a most intolerant "religion"? Perhaps there is a WH connection? This link is but one source of many on that subject.
As for what is now happening in Iraq:
From FOX News "Long before it looted the Iraqi central bank in Mosul of $429 million,
the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant/Syria (ISIS) was well-funded in
its quest to establish a Shariah caliphate, thanks to a raging criminal
enterprise of extortion, bank robbery and petty theft, as well as
donations from well-heeled sponsors throughout the Arab world, according
to experts...
The money and weapons are already helping ISIS in its ferocious bid to
carve out a nation governed by strict and merciless Shariah law in
northern Iraq and northwestern Syria. The group already sees itself as
an independent state with large swaths of the two battle-scarred
nations, areas it now controls and is bent on expanding. The "Levant"
incorporated into the group's name historically refers to an eastern
Mediterranean area that also includes parts of Lebanon, Israel, Jordan
and Cypus, though it's unclear exactly what territory the organization
has designs on....
ISIS was known as Al Qaeda in Iraq until 2006, when it rebranded itself
as ISIS. Its popularity grew in part out of opposition to the presence
of U.S. forces, then swelled as the split between the Sunni sect of
former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein clashed with the Shi'ite
administration led by current Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki. Abu Bakr
al Baghdadi became the organization's leader in 2010 after founder Abu
Omar al Baghdadi was killed in a joint U.S.-Iraqi operation." entire post
Yes we are a war weary nation, but one thing we must understand, we are under constant attack from a relentless, well funded, and calculating foe. This enemy is deadly and takes no prisoners. Do NOT be fooled by cosmetic and/or name changes
