Is Obama Mentally Fit To Serve As President?
American history proves that, in the past, many of our leaders have suffered from mental illness. For me, I tend to believe that quite a few of our Presidents had mental health issues of one kind or another. After all what person desiring any peace in their lives would want the job of U.S. President under the best of conditions. However, it appears that there are an abnormal number of eccentricities residing in President Obama and I genuinely wonder if he is mentally fit to run our Republic.
Defaulting On The Debt Is Our Only Option
On Monday, while displaying his characteristic self-righteous indignation, the law professor turned community activist turned President told the American people that Republicans are solely responsible for “their” fiscal crisis and “they” will have to continue to spend “their” way out of “their” mess. Obama laid down the law during his press conference and demanded the power to explode our debt ceiling to service the American people that re-elected him last November. Or else.
“We must pay our bills.” We must act responsibly.” “The American people agree with me.” -Barrack Obama
Our chief executive officer (Obama) just told his investors (taxpayers) that he will continue to pay for his 2012 election mandating plan to expand the nanny state by raising the debt ceiling and authorizing the confiscation of our wealth, income and prosperity to be redistributed to people that vote Democrat. Meanwhile, he is going to continue his scheme to add a few more million government dependents (or Democrat supporters) every quarter, destroy a few amendments to the U.S. Constitution and continue to blame all failures on the Republican Party and conservative agendas.
Looking back in time to 2007 and 2008 and the crisis that led our government to spread the fear of economic collapse and gain support for bailouts, I find stark similarities in today’s White House rhetoric. Much like TARP and the Stimulus measures—that were our only means of averting an economic catastrophe— now Americans are expected to believe that uncontrolled spending and blowing up our short term national debt is the only way to sustain our current economic position. Which, by the way, they told us was unsustainable.
There are those among us, myself included, that belief that bailing out our nation’s financial community was a horrible decision. The economic calamity that would have befallen our nation would probably not have been much worse than what we are currently dealing with, with a few exceptions. One being our national debt would not be working its way to 20 trillion dollars and our financial communities would not have been empowered to continue to break the laws conveniently ignored by our government. Two, Americans would not be sacrificing our Republic and liberty for the temporary security of promised long term government handouts. In other words the collapse that we avoided would have been less expensive for taxpayers and more politically expensive for our elected officials and their campaign benefactors.
While our government grows the entitlement class and demonizes those among us that live within our means—shouldering the financial burden for our personal successes and failures— our demands for fiscal restraint go ignored. Not just ignored, but shaped as the cause of our economic stagnation and loss of jobs. Yes, somehow productive Americans are about to be blamed for the coming economic downturn rational people know is coming.
So what would be so bad if the government defaulted and couldn’t pay its bills? What world shaking calamity—just like the one they threatened would happen in 2007—would we experience if we don’t go along with the Democrats current agenda of more spending? Does anyone think that our economy would collapse or just reset? As the primary source of government revenue, productive taxpayers must ask themselves if a financial collapse is preferable to the systematic confiscation of our hard earned wealth and income. I would argue that government default is a better option than many Americans think.
There is a lot to be said for an out of control government defaulting. If you can’t borrow and print money everything changes for corrupt politicians. Number one, in my mind, is that this spending behemoth that is bankrupting our Republic would have to reduce its size, scale back its spending and get out of the winners and losers business it has been in for almost 5 years. Think about what we could do with a weakened federal government?
I would also argue that it could have an enormous positive cultural effect. Americans would have to become more reliant on their families, churches communities while they weathered the storm. Just as Americans did during the Depression; the economic disaster that created the greatest generation of responsible and unselfish people this world has ever seen.
I know, I know, it would be a disaster for a decade or so, but what in the heck do you think is going to happen when this house of cards we are currently paying for comes crashing to the ground? If we continue—down the path prescribed by Obama and Democrats— we will eventually arrive at exactly the same place, it will only be more expense and costly to again attempt to dig ourselves out. I would argue that it could lead to an American cultural revolution of sorts. A dismantling of the entitlement addicted society that is destroying Democracy.
As it is today, there are no balanced approaches to recovery. Even the Republican ticket of Romney/Ryan was looking 20 years down the road before our fiscal house was back in order. So do we wait or tell them to crash it now? I’m for now.

Obama Wins, America Loses
Where Do We Go From Here?
We’ve reached the tipping point, folks. This election was the last hope for the American republic. We are now brazenly running toward Greece. How that will manifest in the coming years remains to be seen. We will certainly see our healthcare quality crumble, while costs soar–which has already begun; we will see spending continue to skyrocket; we will see entitlement programs expand, and we will see our country fall.
This reminds me of something Professor Alexander Tyler wrote in 1787. Tyler was a Scottish lawyer and writer. He came up with what I refer to as The Seven Steps of Democracy. Each step follows a sequence that begins with bondage and ultimately ends right back where it started.
1. From Bondage to spiritual faith: The English colonists of the United States felt they were being oppressed, and began to inspire a spiritual and political awakening.
2. From spiritual faith to great courage: The religiously and politically oppressed colonists finally decided to rebel against England and take their independence.
3. From courage to liberty: The courage to start a rebellion led to a revolution against England, and ultimately a victory.
4. From liberty to abundance: After victory, we grew as a nation. We experienced an industrial revolution, and soon our country sat in abundance.
5. From abundance to complacency: As a country, we became complacent in our wealth and comfort.
6. From complacency to apathy: Following that, we began to lose our ability to care about what happened in the country, particularly in politics. We began to accept larger government in our lives, without much thought as to how it would later effect us.
7. From apathy to dependence: As the government grew, we began to rely on the government to take care of us and provide for us. We began to rely on social security, welfare, food-stamps, and other programs.
8. From dependence back into bondage: Out of this growing dependency, we will fall farther and farther down the rabbit hole, and find ourselves in Greece. Financial collapse, riots, social decline, and ultimately bondage. Then we are back where we started.
Up until now, we were at the tipping point; balancing on the edge of dependency versus independence. This was the defining election that would decide whether we stayed on the edge or slipped off the cliff. With the Obama win, we have now slipped of the cliff. But really, what does that mean?
That means, barring any return to sane financial policies in 2016, we are heading from step seven to step eight. That’s the last step, folks.
It was a razor thin election; 49% to 49% in the popular vote. So it’s not as though it was a landslide. However, this is only the tipping point. As time goes by, it will only get worse.
In summary:
If our country can re-elect Barack Obama with unemployment standing at 7.9% (higher than when he was elected in 2008), the Benghazi debacle, a socialized healthcare system (which has failed in every other country in which it has been implemented), an additional $6 trillion in debt (after promising to cut the deficit in half), food-stamp usage at a record breaking high, and welfare use continuing to rise, we have surely moved from step seven on to step eight.
There is hope in the fact that the Republicans still remain in control of the House of Representatives. But as I see it, our country is headed down the final stretches of a dangerous path. The Republican Party does not need to fundamentally restructure; it needs to better articulate its message; looking to rising, conservative stars in the party, such as Marco Rubio, Kelly Ayotte, Mia Love, Mike Pence, Bobby Jindal and others to create a new conservative movement. These people are the last hope to reverse our decline.
I’ll leave you with a quote from Bruce Barton:
“Action and reaction, ebb and flow, trial and error, change – this is the rhythm of living. Out of our over-confidence, fear; out of our fear, clearer vision, fresh hope. And out of hope, progress.”
Romney’s Free Market vs. Obama’s Socialism

byDave Jolly
From the moment it was apparent that Mitt Romney had secured the Republican nomination for President of the United States, Barack Obama and his troupe of fabricators began a vicious attack on his record at Bain Capital. They picked a couple of examples of where Bain Capital either closed a company down or shipped their business overseas and ignored the majority of what Bain really accomplished.
In the meantime, the Obama camp of ‘can do no wrong’ failed to tell the American public about the billions of Stimulus dollars that went overseas to help foreign companies and shipping jobs overseas. They also failed to tell the American public about all of the billions of taxpayer dollars that they gave to Obama’s pet green energy companies that have since gone bankrupt or drastically downsized.
A group in Ottawa County, Michigan, have taken the task of not only informing the residents about Romney’s real record at Bain Capital, but they are also comparing it to Obama’s real record in the White House. Ottawa County Patriots created a billboard and bumper sticker that compares the records of the two presidential candidates and it is one of the best brief comparison’s I’ve seen. Cont. Reading
