It’s Not Going to Be Status Quo. It’s Going to Get Worse. Prepare Now.
There are some talking heads claiming that now that Obama doesn’t face re-election he can pull more to the middle and work with a divided congress because he doesn’t have to appease his far-left base.
I say that’s fool talk.
I say because Obama isn’t facing another re-election he doesn’t have to moderate his actions to gain the moderate vote. Obama’s comfort zone, his vision for America, is far-left. And it is from that position that he will rule.
What should be your game plan?
Personal Finances
First, get your own house in order. We must accept the fact that the economy will NOT improve. Gas will never come down again to reasonable levels and in all likelihood will continue to rise. Heating oil and propane costs will rise. Ditto for food and durable goods. The value of the dollar will continue to slide. Banks will be even tighter with loans.
Most Americans will see less take-home pay starting in the New Year when Obamacare fully kicks in. If the lame duck congress does not re-institute the tax cuts, even more money will be taken out of your check. If you are on Medicare, know that your premiums will rise next year and there will not be a funny-money influx of cash stolen from another part of the federal budget to off-set it as there was this year. (Another election-year ruse, this time perpetrated on Medicare recipients). Prepare your household budget accordingly.
Medical Needs
If you have been putting off procedures or tests schedule them NOW. The landscape of medical care in this country is changing. If you’ve been putting it off, the government will consider putting off your non-emergency care indefinitely. And expect a shortage of doctors very soon as professionals flee the profession instead of working within the confines of government.
Medical providers have been populating their databases with your medical information, according to Obamacare directives, for the past few years. Understand that every time you visit the doctor, get a perscription filled or have a procedure it’s listed on a big, fat government database that can be shared within the government structure—and perhaps beyond—who knows?
Personally, I see a day where a black market medical community springs forth.
Privacy
There is very little of this cherished concept left anymore. Unless you’ve been playing survivor in the woods for your entire life (in which case, you cannot be reading this) then you are on the grid. Just be aware of it and take whatever steps you can to limit your exposure. My personal choices include not participating in social media like FaceBook and using an Avatar to cavort on the web. How much protection does this afford my personal life? Probably not as much as I like to think. But the exposure of my personal comings and goings, my friends, and my preferences are under the radar more than those who live their lives wide open.
Guns, Ammo & all that good stuff
If you don’t own a gun my advice is buy one now. If you can purchase one through a private transaction without a paper trail that’s even better. The Obama administration is very anti-gun. While a Republican controlled congress and a senate with many seats up for grabs in two years will most likely never pass any stringent gun control laws in the near future, do not discount this administration running an end-game through the UN or by executive order.
If you already own guns, stock up on ammo. It’s always good to have in case times get hard and the choice is between going hungry or killing a rabbit.
And keep in mind the very worst case scenario of gun confiscation. If you don’t think it can happen in America just ask any Australian if they ever thought it could happen there. It did and it can.
Now, go get it done! Once your house is in order we can talk about how to win back the hearts and minds of brain-washed Americans.
Land of the Freebies.
ad these alarming stats and watch the short video. How much longer do you really think we can sustain this system? And why would we want to?
- 41% of all births in the USA are paid for by the government
- 60% of elderly long-term care is paid for by the government
- 1 out 3 live in a household that receives food stamps, subsidized housing, cash welfare or Medicaid
Answer: Not nearly enough of us. And a lot less Americans than used to pay.
- During Reagan’s administration, only 19% didn’t pay income tax.
- Today 47% don’t pay income tax.
- Of American Workers: 1 in 15 is currently receiving disability payments from the government.
The answer to this dilemma lies within the moral conscience of each American. Remember that, guy? Moral Conscience?

Sorry. ANY country stupid enough to elect Obama, is certainly stupid enough to DESERVE another term.
“People Get The Government They Deserve”
Of course people on freebies want the freebies to continue. That is human nature.
That said, the situation now is clearly unsustainable. Those on the dole well exceed the tax base.
I don’t know what we’re going to to with the coming tsunami of aging and ailing Boomers.
Right now, many nursing homes cost over $15,000 a month (Better ones cost more!), and it’s nearly impossible to find a nursing home that costs anywhere near only $3000/month! I’m speaking only of room and board — not medical care, hand feedings for the helpless, laundry, etc. All of those services cost extra!
One can enter late in life with what SHOULD be adequate personal funding and end up on Medicaid within three years or less.
Medicare will pay for literal medical care, but not long-term care, the latter the primary function of nursing homes.
Sometimes the ailing can be kept at home, sometimes not. Dementia is often the stopper although there are other stoppers as well.
Right now, one of my best friends is in a nursing home. She is only 57 years old! She fell and broke her leg in multiple places and cannot put any weight whatsoever on the leg for at least three months; she may also have developed a form of dementia. What the hell is her husband going to do? A staunch libertarian who has always stood on his own two feet, her husband is 60 years old and working THREE jobs! Frankly, the only solution is for him to divorce his beloved wife of 38 years. Otherwise, there will be TWO PEOPLE on welfare instead of only one. This story is being played out all over the United States today. I fault our leaders and the health insurance companies for not adequately addressing the tsunami that is bearing down on us even as I type in this comment.
Perhaps this tells the story:

What's Wrong With America ?
Part I
We cannot place the full blame of America’s ills on corporate America. Capitalism, entrepreneurship and the freedom to pursue those entities are what has made this country the most prosperous in the world. The poorest among us still have a better lifestyle than the majority in many countries.
No one is balking at paying taxes for necessary government services. What are unsustainable are a federal government that spends more than it takes in, year after year, an ever-decreasing number of taxpayers paying into the system, and an ever-increasing number of Americans taking from the system. We will hit bottom soon if these trends are not reversed.
Instead of addressing the need for more job creation in the private sector, President Obama now wants to raise the tax burden on “wealthy” Americans–the same Americans that are responsible for job creation. If the tax ceiling is raised to 40% on those making over $250,000 per year, the federal government will realize an additional $83 Billion in annual tax revenue. That sounds like a lot of money but not when you consider that our government spends that much money every four days. And the additional burden will further hamper the small business owner from creating more jobs and decrease the spending power of those so-called “wealthy” individuals, thus doing much more harm to our economy.
The solution is, and has historically been, not raising taxes, but decreasing spending. Our government is bloated with non-essential spending, much of it created by non-essential regulation, and frankly, much of it related to unconstitutional laws.
Of course lower wages benefit employers. But when the unemployment rate is low, the competition becomes NOT for jobs–as it is today–but for employees. Thus, when the economy is doing well, companies must compete for the best employees with higher wages and better benefits and incentives.
Today, the looming threat of higher taxes, new, burdensome healthcare mandates, the implementation and maintenance of new stifling regulations (Frank-Dodd on the banking industry, for example, new, stricter environmental regulations, such as the endangered species act and the cultural resources act, etc.) tie up millions of dollars and have hog-tied companies’ plans for expansion and growth. When you factor in that consumer spending is down because consumer confidence is low and unemployment is high you have an economy that is in a quagmire.
Let’s Fix the Problem, America! Part II
Government has a vital role in our society. However, when it begins
encroaching on the future prosperity of individuals and corporations, when it
starts picking winners and losers (heavily unionized industries, like the auto
industry receives bailouts, Green industry receives stimulus funds, homeowners
with underwater mortgages receive government-backed re-fi’s, while the coal
industry faces impossible, expensive new regulations), government is
overstepping its constitutional boundaries.
The federal government has no business performing unfair practices that include propping up certain sectors of the economy and punishing others. In a free society, the free market decides the winners and losers. Some government regulation is necessary to protect consumers against price-gauging and monopolies. But our government today is operating far outside their constitutional reach.
Our founders were no dummies. They knew that a government that governs best is one that governs least. Today, governance rules our lives and personal liberty is no longer a guaranteed right to all but a privilege for the few.
I would rather be poor and free….at risk and free…sick and free…than be at the mercy of an overbearing, all-controlling government. It was sentiments such as these that led our ancestors to break away from Great Britain. Sadly, too many Americans do not see the similarities between the days preceding the American Revolution and the situation our nation finds itself in today.
But unlike our revolutionary ancestors, we already have a form of government in place that guarantees our freedoms so our battle to restore those freedoms, restore capitalism and restore confidence in our economy and our future can and should take place at the voting booth.
It is imperative that we elect representatives, senators, governors, state houses, local officials and a president that don’t just mouth the words about defending our constitution but actually take their oaths seriously.
President Obama and a majority of congress have proven by their actions that the constitution is an annoyance they would rather not be bothered with. And far too many Americans either doesn’t understand what they are giving up or don’t care. In a free society, you are free to be ignorant. And ignorance is not a disqualification for voting. So we keep electing leaders that do our country harm.
The answer is education. If the threat to personal freedom is not a concern, perhaps the threat that the welfare/social security/government housing/food stamps/disability checks are threatened will make voters take notice and demand that our elected officials adhere to the principles of smaller government.
Lest voters worry that smaller government may translate to smaller entitlement checks, we can take a lesson from our current administration and congress and kick that can down the road a bit. There’s no doubt that all entitlement programs need serious reform.
But the fact that the money just won’t be there for entitlements is looming, stuck in the road, and can’t be kicked any further

If they re-elected Obama for four more years you can bet we will see these numbers increase 10 fold. A second Obama term will seal our fate making America a truly Socialist State and member of the New World Order.
