Dear Members and Friends,

If you live in Jersey, please call your State Senator immediately and instruct him/her to vote against this legislation.

Dear Members and Friends,

The Pennsylvania House will be voting, sometime today, on a bill that would allow the state to opt out of the Abortion funding provisions of ObamaCare.

Regardless of your views on abortion, you must realize that any successful legal and/or political challenge to obamaCare could ultimately lead to the law's demise.

Yes, we can incrementally defeat ObamaCare

Our friends at the PA Pro-life Federation have asked those of you who reside in the Keystone State to call your State Representative immediately and urge a "yes" vote on HB 818!

To find the name and number of your State Rep, visit:

and type in your address, city, and zip code.  A window will then pop up with your State Reps
name and contact information.

Your calls are critical!   Unless HB 818 is passed and signed into law by Governor Corbett, your tax dollars will be paying for abortions starting next year!  Planned Parenthood, the nation's largest abortion provider, is lobbying full force against HB 818.   We must counter their efforts!

Hagel nomination to gun control testimony to the 'gang of 8'

February 1, 2013, 2:45 PM

Dear Members and Friends,

From the Hagel nomination to gun control testimony to the 'gang of 8' framework for a comprehensive immigration bill, this past week on Capitol Hill has been an overwhelming disaster for the future direction of our nation. (If only Romney had been elected President!)

Following on the heels of the 'fiscal cliff' debacle in which 77% (not 1%) of all adult Americans were hit with tax increases, the bad news continued to flow out of Washington--a shrinkage of the economy in the last quarter of 2012 and an up tick in the unemployment

rate. Shocking!

But the worst omen of the week had to be Senator Chuck Hagel's outrageously poor

performance during yesterday's US Senate Confirmation Hearing--reaffirming our opposition to his nomination as Secretary of Defense (please see press release below.)

The vote on Hagel's nomination has yet to be scheduled--and due to the filibuster-- there is a chance that he could go down to defeat. Only 41 Senators are needed to stop him.

Please call the Capitol Switchboard at 202.224.3121 and ask to be connected to your US Senators (DE: Biden, Carper; NJ: Lautenberg, Menendez; PA: Casey, Toomey).

Senator 'Sleazy' Menendez's vote could be critical.

Politely request that your US Senators vote against Hagel's confirmation as Defense Secretary.

For direct contact (phone, email) information for your Senators, visit:

Also, call the White House comment line @ 202.456.1111 and tell President Obama to immediately withdrawal this embarrassing nomination.

Impacting public opinion by writing letters to the editor and placing calls to talk radio shows is another course of action that would be greatly appreciated!

Calls us @ 215.620.3055 if you have any questions or suggestions. Tell us how you made out.

Many, many thanks!

For Immediate Release
Association Says Hagel Dangerous Choice for Defense Secretary;
Calls on US Senate to Reject Nomination
Philadelphia, PA (February 1, 2013) -- The Independence Hall Tea Party
Association, the largest independent Tea Party group in the tri-state (DE, NJ, PA) region, announced, today, its vehement opposition to the nomination of Chuck Hagel as United States Secretary of Defense.
"We withheld our formal opposition in the hope that former Republican US Senator Chuck Hagel could dispel the serious doubts raised about his candidacy for this top level cabinet appointment," said Association President, Teri Adams.
"Instead of old concerns being dismissed, new ones emerged during his Senate confirmation hearing, yesterday. That is why we are asking our members from the tri-state area to call their US Senators and demand Hagel's nomination be rejected.
"Without even scratching the surface of Senator Hagel's record, we became alarmed by his glaringly outrageous votes and remarks on so many issues
critical to American National Security," said Ms. Adams.
"On America, Senator Hagel agreed with assertions made during his appearance on Al Jezeera Radio that the United States is 'the world's bully.'
"He has also stated that the Department of Defense budget is 'bloated.'"
"While we maintain that savings can be found in every federal department and
agency, we think it incredible that a Defense Secretary nominee would have so blatantly portrayed US defense spending in such a negative light.
"On Israel, Senator Hagel's apparent hostility to our only reliable ally in the Middle East is disturbing. What does he mean when he says the American Jewish lobby 'intimidates a lot of people?' Who, exactly, does it intimidate?
"Does Senator Hagel believe that Christian and Jewish Americans have no right to voice concerns regarding the existence of the state of Israel? Where are his voiced objections to the terrorist behaviors of Hamas and Hezbollah?
"Why, over the years, has he criticized Israel's use of military force to defend itself from the hostile military attacks of its neighbors?
"On Iran, Senator Hagel opposed unilateral US sanctions on a nation determined to annihilate Israel and refused to endorse an effort to designate the Iranian Revolutionary Guard as a terrorist organization.
"In yesterday's hearing, he had to be reminded that US policy was to prevent, not contain, Iran's development of nuclear weapons.
"On Iraq, Senator Hagel opposed the surge of US troops which led to the stabilization of that nation and the successful outcome of a war in which many Americans sacrificed their lives.
"Senator John McCain stated that Senator Hagel was 'on the wrong side of history' in relation to the Iraq War.
"We think Senator Hagel has been on the wrong side of history on so many critical matters--and so has the President who nominated him," said Ms. Adams.

Dear Friends,
Sadly, conservatives/Republicans do not control the either or both state legislative houses in New Jersey or Delaware and the 2012 elections only marginally improved our situation in Delaware. (New Jersey did not have state legislative contests in 2012.)
The good news in PA is that after the recent elections,conservative/Republicans
have maintained control of the legislative bodies of both the House and the Senate. We also have a Republican governor.
So why is it, that after two years in power, we have had few very legislative victories.
There has simply been little progress on legislation issues ranging from Privatization of State Stores--to Right to Work--to Opting out of ObamaCare.
Why is that you ask? The simple answer--a lack of leadeship--especially in the PA Senate.
PA Republican State Senators will be voting on leadership roles today.
We ask you to immediately call the Senators below and ask them not to retain Dominic Pillegi as Senate Majority leader.
Whether the issue be opting out of Obamacare or Voter ID, Senator Pillegi's office has stalled reform in so many areas. We desperately need new leadership.
To reach any of the following Republican Senators, call the Harrisburg Capitol Switchboard at 717.787.5920. Tell them to choose another leader.
Richard Alloway
We thank you, in advance, for your attention in this important matter!

35K+ Greet Romneys/Ground Game On!

35,000+ Greet the Romneys at Shady Brook Farm in Bucks

November 5, 2012 10 AM

Dear Friends,

Governor Mitt Romney's triumphant return to our region was historic!

Even Will Bunch (Daily News, Philly.com), no friend of conservatism, had to

acknowledge the extraordinary turnout. He reported the crowd size at 35,000--

making yesterday's gathering at Stoney Brook Farm the largest gathering of

Republicans in modern Pennsylvania history--replacing Bush's 2004 record.

Bunch called it 'Mittstock.'

We call it Victory.

Remarks by Tom Smith (R-PA) and Mike Fitzpatrick (PA-8) were warmly received by

a crowd that withstood cold November temperatures.

Hats off to Dom Giordano, Chris Stigall and the WPHT 1210 Team for their

excellent Rally coverage!

Kacey, Keith, and Jerimiah Carol and Tom Tagg and Carol

PAC Delegate Kacey Brown & son Jeremiah PAC Delegate Carol Carol and Tagg Romney at the Springfield

with Tom Smith at the Conshohocken VC. Klein with Tom Smith. VC, Friday Morning, November 2.

Meanwhile, earlier in the day, Tom Smith's own Victory Bus Tour took a last lap

through SE PA.

In his speech at the Conshocken Victory Center, Tom Smith, whom we proudly

endorsed in the PA primary before almost any other organization, told the audience

that his internal polls showed Romney up by one point and the race between he and

Senator Casey tied at 47%!!!

It all comes down to the Ground Game, tonight and tomorrow. Please volunteer at

the Victory Centers. Visit: www.IndependenceHallTeaPartyPAC.com for locations.

Finally, the PAC's current Save Our Republic Money Drop is $750 short of our

$5000 goal. We hope to reach it by Monday, 12 midnight.

We thank those of you who have already contributed and hope more of you will

do the same. As we are an all volunteer PAC, the money raised goes directly

to the cause!
