OBAMACARE MONITORS YOUR SEX LIFE
The New York Post tells us how ObamaCare has empowered Big Government to monitor your sex life, drafting doctors from every practice –
Serfdom for dummies
Serfdom is making a big comeback these days. It never really went out of style, of course, but it’s remarkable how many people are now willing to submit to government authority without question, or without much in the way of expectations. Shoddy performance, from fiscal insolvency to a moribund economy, is no cause for outrage among the modern serfs. They accept the “New Normal” without question, believing they live in the best of all possible worlds, because it’s now about five years removed from the worst.
Arrogant government
The proper attitude of government towards its citizens is humility. The State kneels before the people who invest it with terrible authority. The Declaration of Independence and Constitution are full of language that illustrates this relationship, but you don’t have to look back that far, because American politicians constantly cloak themselves in the language of humility. They always talk about how honored they are to receive the public trust, and speak often of the American people as their “bosses.” They are very keen to portray themselves as the instruments of popular will. Few campaign victory speeches pass without the triumphant candidate professing him or herself “humbled.” For that matter, losing candidates usually say they were humbled by the support they received from their supporters.

President Obama's new budget is a mixture of accounting tricks, dubious projections, "cuts" that amount to spending a bit less than he really wanted to, and of course plenty of tax hikes. Every bad tax-raising idea from the past few years is included. Obama's 2014 budget is a Wayback Machine to the early days of the "fiscal cliff" drama - he's making the same demands that were rejected back then.
The Democrat budget’s “spending cut” hocus pocus
It’s awful that the Democrats want to squeeze a trillion dollars in new taxes out of Americans with Senate Budget Committee chair Patty Murray’s (D-WA) budget proposal, but hey, at least they offer a “balanced approach” by cutting a trillion in spending too, right?
Wrong. The “spending cuts” are almost entirely fraudulent. They’re just paperwork shuffles and accounting tricks.
All of a sudden, the President says we don’t have a debt crisis
Presto, change-o! At the beginning of the year, we were sternly lectured that huge tax increases were absolutely necessary to confront our looming debt crisis. America was driven to the edge of the “fiscal cliff,” ostensibly producing business panic that explained a fair measure of Barack Obama’s permanent economic malaise, by the President’s refusal to budge an inch from his demands for those deficit-fighting tax increases.
