Alabama School Bans the Word ‘Easter’

Boys and girls at an Alabama elementary school will still get to hunt for eggs – but they can’t call them ‘Easter Eggs’ because the principal banished the word for the sake of religious diversity.
“We had in the past a parent to question us about some of the things we do here at school,” said Heritage Elementary School principal Lydia Davenport. “So we’re just trying to make sure we respect and honor everybody’s differences.”
Television station WHNT reported that teachers were informed that no activities related to or centered around any religious holiday would be allowed – in the interest of religious diversity.

Why Liberals Want Ignorant Voters

Our founding fathers knew that an educated public was necessary to protect and preserve our republic. Therefore, they passed the Old Deluder Satan Law in 1647 which required towns to provide a school where reading, writing, and the Bible would be taught. Since then, progressive educational policy makers have been undermining that early view of our republic.

Preserving our republic is still possible if the root of the problem is understood, if energies are focused, and if reformers are determined to eradicate the cause. To date, the approach to educational reform has been like that of a neighbor whose yard is a bed of dandelions. He picks the flower heads and leaves the roots to grow deeper and stronger to produce multiple flowers next week. The root of the problem facing education has grown thick as a sequoia tree.

The Department of Education disseminates federal educational funds to the states to make sure the mandates which follow those funds are properly implemented. Common Core Standards are federally mandated standards which define what is to be taught in each subject in every classroom across the United States.

Obamacare Mandate: Anyone Who Works 30-Hour Week Is Now ‘Full-Time’

A little-known section in the ObamaCare health reform law defines “full-time” work as averaging only 30 hours per week, a definition that will affect some employers who utilize part-time workers to trim the cost of complying with the ObamaCare rule that says businesses with 50 or more workers must provide health insurance or pay a fine.


“The term ‘full-time employee’ means, with respect to any month, an employee who is employed on average at least 30 hours of service per week,” section 1513 of the law reads. (Scroll down to section 4, paragraph A.)

That section, known as the employer mandate, requires any business with 50 or more full-time employees to provide at least the minimum level of government-defined health coverage to those employees.

In other words, a business must provide insurance if it has 50 or more employees working an average of just 30 hours per week, which is 10 hours per week fewer than the traditional 40-hour work week.

What is “Fast and Furious” exactly (“House panel supports Holder contempt vote,” June 21)? This scandal involves theU.S. Department of Justice intentionally allowing guns to cross the border into Mexico, in an attempt to track them to drug cartels. This “gun-running” was exposed when U.S. border agents confronted several men who were suspected of illegally crossing the border and smuggling drugs. This confrontation ended with U.S border agent Brian Terry being shot and killed. The gun that shot Agent Terry was traced back to the guns that were involved in Fast and Furious.

If We Took the Constitution Seriously, Obama Would Be Impeached

If the citizens of this Republic still took the Constitution seriously, Obama would be impeached for his decision to unilaterally grant amnesty to certain illegal aliens.

Article 1, Sec. 8 of the Constitution, which enumerates the power of Congress, states that “Congress shall have the Power To… establish an [sic] uniform Rule of Naturalization.” Congress has passed numerous laws pertaining to immigration and naturalization, including laws requiring the deportation of illegals.

The role of the President, according to Article II, Sec. 3, is to “take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed.” Obama’s refusal to execute Congress’s immigration laws (or, for that matter, Congress’s Defense of Marriage Act) is an impeachable offense. Article II, Sec. 4 states that the President “shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for… Treason, Bribery, or other High Crimes and Misdemeanors.” The deliberate failure to enforce valid immigration law and allow hordes of foreigners to live and work in the U.S. is, arguably, “treason,” and doing so in an election year to appease Hispanic voters could certainly be considered “bribery.”  Cont.
