It’s been a busy week in New Jersey politics. Sen. Frank Lautenberg’s death set into motion a series of events culminating in an August primary and October special election to fill his seat.

Chris Christie 2009 vs Chris Christie 2013

“I don't think you can put a price tag on what it’s worth to have an elected person in the United States Senate,” Gov. Chris Christie (R) declared on Tuesday. The governor was responding to a question about the cost of holding an October special election to fill the vacancy created by the death of Sen. Frank Lautenberg, which according to one estimate, could be in the ballpark of $24 million. The Christie of 2009 might not be a fan of the Christie of 2013′s decision.
