In Case You Missed This: The CDC Is Tracking 1400 Possible Ebola Cases In The U.S.

The left-leaning Politifact website came out with their “Lie of the Year” award this week. This year the liberal outfit announced the Ebola scare was the biggest lie of the year.

Of course, the Ebola scare was not a lie - Over 7,000 people have died from the disease and possibly many more. The WHO says the disease has a 70% mortality rate.

But facts rarely matter to leftist reporters with an agenda.

Today, investigative reporter Sharyl Attkisson responded to Politifact.

Attkisson noted that the media coverage of Ebola vanished after the White House appointed afar left hack with expertise in revolutionary politics as Ebola czar.

Attkisson told Howard Kurtz on Media Buzz that the CDC is hiding suspected cases from the American public.

Infectious disease experts remain very concerned about the disease… A lot of the media coverage has gone from overtime to almost nothing since the administration has appointed an Ebola czar. And I don’t think that’s any accident. That’s a strategy… I called CDC not long ago and said, “How many active cases are being monitored in the United States of Ebola?” And they said, “1,400.” And I said, “Where is that on your website, these updates?” And they said, “We’re not putting it on the web.”So I think there’s an effort to control the message and tamp it down. This is public information we have a right to and I think the media should not hype it but cover it.

Sheila Pinette of the Maine CDC has released information that the roommate of Kaci Hickox, while in West Africa has displayed signs of ebola. Pinette says “The respondents roommate in Africa became infected without knowing how she became infected with Ebola. (Any potential risk to respondent from that incident has passed).” This is one of 35 points Pinette made while filing a verified petition for public health order yesterday with the state.

What did arrogant nurse Kaci Hickox know about her roommate’s Ebola, and when did she know it?

Two perfect examples of bleeding hearts choosing a cause and then demanding that the cost be exacted from the hides of others are two liberal women who have made national news despite caring little about the expense of their personal wants.

The first woman is Sandra Kay Fluke (pronounced fluck), an attorney and women’s rights activist who, in her last year of Georgetown University Law School, used polycystic ovary disease as a rationale to denounce the Catholic university’s refusal to comply with an Obamacare insurance mandate to provide women with free contraception and abortion.

Fluke was unabashed in her demands, citing $3,000 in birth control expenses as one of the reasons Americans should be forced to finance contraception for women who feel others should fund their sex lives.

After well-deserved criticism and much controversy, with the help of Democrat handlers, Sandra became the left’s spokeswoman in the fabricated "war on women" and was elevated to the status of patron saint of polycystic ovary disease awareness. The epitome of liberal activism, Ms. Fluke made it quite clear that her desire for free birth control took precedence over the religious convictions of those she felt should be forced to foot the bill for her contraceptives.

In other words, Sandra Fluke was unwilling to sacrifice her own money, yet she had zero compunction about citing polycystic ovary disease as a way to force others to absorb the cost of her birth control pills.

In order to raise awareness about the "war on women," Sandra was more than willing to wage all-out war on religious liberty and oppress anyone who disagreed with her personal views.

Now we have Sierra Leone Ebola nurse Kaci Hickox. While defying quarantine requirements instituted by the state of New Jersey and the CDC in her home state of Maine, Kaci, who seems unconcerned about the welfare of her friends and neighbors, was concerned enough about herself to don a bicycle helmet while out cycling with boyfriend Ted Wilbur.

In West Africa, Kaci was concerned about West Africans, but back home in America, Kaci is more concerned about Kaci than the safety of those she could expose to a fatal hemorrhagic fever. So, unlike Sandra Fluke, Kaci Hickox’s message does not involve the "war on women"; rather, it focuses on the futility of a mandatory “self-quarantine” even though it is now being reported that her roommate in Africa is infected with Ebola.

Kaci Hickox cared so much for West African Ebola patients that she was willing to risk her life. However, once home in the U.S., when asked to inconvenience herself for 21 days by participating in a cautionary self-quarantine, self-sacrificial Kaci refuses to comply. 

Leaving aside arguments about the dangers and ramifications of asking a free people to submit to government-mandated quarantines, or whether the Ebola crisis is fabricated or not, there is a huge measure of hypocrisy that needs to be pointed out on Kaci Hickox’s part that is typical liberal modus operandi.

Liberals like Kaci love for government oversight to be enforced on everyone else, but when government tries to dictate something they would rather not do, like pay for their own contraceptives or stay indoors for 21 days, liberals cry the loudest.

Then, in a stunning example of stupidity trumping science, in a statement that encapsulates the negative impact that moral relevancy has had on America, Kaci’s boyfriend Ted said, “We don't believe that we can get anyone sick.” That’s because in Obama’s America, a regime Kaci and Ted both proudly identify with, declaring one’s belief places that belief on par with the truth, even if it’s false.

That’s why just like Sandra Fluke, Kaci Hickox may portray herself as altruistic, but as it turns out, her type of progressive philanthropy comes with a price. Because when Kaci’s hypocrisy is factored into the equation, just like Sandra Fluke, she embodies the high cost of liberal double standards. original post

Is Obama Planning to Flood the System With Foreign Ebola Patients?

As if the last few weeks have not been crazy enough.

First we learned that a Liberian national who landed in Dallas had tested positive for Ebola. We then witnessed a comedy of errors as workers and authorities tried to deal with “patient zero.”

Shortly after we learned that not just one, but two nurses who treatedThomas Duncan had also been stricken with Ebola.

Now we are hearing from Judicial Watch that Barack Obama is planning to bring more Ebola patients to America. Maybe that is why he won’t ban air travel to and from infected areas. Judicial Watch released this report on Friday:

Washington, DC – Judicial Watch has learned that the Obama administration is actively formulating plans to admit Ebola-infected non-U.S. citizens into the United States for treatment.  Specifically, the goal of the administration is to bring Ebola patients into the United States for treatment within the first days of diagnosis.

It is unclear who would bear the high costs of transporting and treating non-citizen Ebola patients.  The plans include special waivers of laws and regulations that ban the admission of non-citizens with a communicable disease as dangerous as Ebola.

One source tells us that the Obama administration is keeping this plan secret from Congress. The source is concerned that the proposal is illegal; endangers the public health and welfare; and should require the approval of Congress.

If Obama is really trying to destroy America, this would definitely speed up the process. We have learned this week that the 21 day incubation period is not totally accurate. We have learned that there were no protocols in place for nurses to follow and that many hospitals may not be able to afford upgrading their facilities to prepare for Ebola.

Most hospitals simply aren’t ready.

America can’t be the world’s Ebola hospital. We simply aren’t prepared for that.

What better way would there be to collapse the system then to bring moreEbola here when we have obviously failed miserably up to this point?

Judicial Watch is a respected organization. Hopefully their sources are wrong in this case.

The last thing America needs is more foreigners to make the population sick.

If Obama wants a pandemic, this would be a good way to ensure that he gets one.

Patriots, we are in serious trouble. The MSM talks about a failed presidency. I beg to differ. It is anything but. This Manchurian President is succeeding all too well.

Another golden opportunity has presented itself. He is using the ebola outbreak as a cover story in his latest act to weaken and destroy this nation so that it will not be able to resist ultimate conquest by the NWO. Well, after all, he is just doing the bidding of his elitist handlers.

Obama and his overlords are winning because no one in power will take any measures against them. Will we be able to stop these totalitarian elitists from achieving their ultimate goal of world domination by using sharia law and possibly bio-warfare as weapons of oppression? Can we take off our glasses glazed by political correctness in order to observe the glaring truth behind the events unfolding before us?

Barack Obama: My ‘Larger Role’ Is ‘My Obligation to Make Sure Africans Are Safe’

If there wasn't a more "in your face" rejection of what the office of the President of the United States is supposed to be, this past week Barack Obama spoke out on the Ebola virus in the US. While he claimed that it was his job to make sure Americans were taken care of, he said he had a larger role. What's that role you ask? What could be larger than doing his job to secure the borders and obey his oath of office? According to Obama, it's making sure that Africans, particularly children and their families, are safe.

Apparently Obama decided to be briefed by his "entire team" on Ebola (no word yet on whether he's attended a national security briefing lately). He specifically called the virus the "Ebola epidemic" and said that the briefing was to understand how each agency would be involved and what they were doing, which he never told anyone about. He merely said he wanted to stop it at the source, which is in West Africa.

The problem is that the virus is no longer just in West Africa. It's in Europe and the United States, with the US suffering its first fatality this week due in large measure to Obama not banning flights originating from Ebola-ridden countries in Africa. This is truly laughable that he claims to be "doing everything we can do to prevent an outbreak here in the United States."

To make matters worse, CDC Director Dr. Tom Frieden actually had the audacity to tell the American people that banning such flights would cause more Americans to get Ebola! Yet, Americans are petitioning the White House to ban such flights because they know better than this administration how to take care of themselves.

He then told the press, "The good news is it's not an airborne disease." Oh, really Mr. Liar-in-chief? That's not what a recent, sneaky update on transmission of Ebola on the CDC's website says. Then why is the US Army saying that winter weather provides the ideal conditions for Ebola to go airborne? Why has an associate professor of biological sciences at Perdue University, who participated in the U.S. Defense Threat Reduction Agency's Biological Weapons Proliferation Prevention Program said that Ebola being airborne is not farfetched? How do you explain the Ebola Hot Zone in Virginia in 1989 where Ebola was passed from monkeys to pigs that had not physical contact? The Obama administration isn't erring on the side of caution, they are just plain erring; and word is that their error is being conducted on purpose and that it violates the very protocols Obama told the press they were following.

"But let's keep in mind that as we speak, there are children on the streets dying of this disease, thousands of them. And so obviously my first job is to make sure that we're taking care of the American people, but we have a larger role than that. We also have an obligation to make sure that those (African) children and their families are safe as well; because ultimately the best thing we can do for our public health is also to extend the kind of empathy, compassion and effort so that folks in those countries as well can be rid of this disease." 

While I get the idea for sympathy for those facing the disease in other countries, I do wonder where that is in his job description, especially in light of the fact that he is not doing any of the things he told the press. He certainly is not doing everything he can to make sure Ebola doesn't enter the US (banning flights, sealing the border, etc.).

The claim that his larger role and obligation is to the people of Africa is way down the line from doing what he should be doing, but isn't. Any role he thinks he has in Africa is dwarfed, not enlarged, by his role to fulfill his duty here in the US. However, this is just more lies from this administration, for which I call upon Congress to begin to issue articles of impeachment to deal with him as our Constitution calls for.

The American people would be wise to prepare to take care of themselves in light of the dereliction of duty that has been demonstrated by this administration. You can find tips for doing that here.

We are constantly being reassured that all is well regarding the ability to contains this virus. The truth appears to be  far different. Over 170 health care workers wearing suits specifically designed to protect them have succumbed to this deadly disease. Many feel that there is something very different about this epidemic. Some question whether or not the virus has morphed into an airborne contaminate, or possibly been bio engineered so as to become a tool of biologic warfare. The scenario we now find ourselves in is that there is such a lack of trust in our various "official" governmental and non-governmental bodies that we are left with trying to draw our own conclusions with conflicting "facts".

From Canada Free Press: "Dr. Lee Vliet said that several very sick individuals caught at the Texas border were transported to an undisclosed location, “all in respiratory distress, high fever, shaking, chills, and coughing up blood. Two weeks later, NBC news broke the story that several very sick individuals were flown to Ventura Air Force Base. These individuals were so sick, they were taken to an intensive care unit with the same symptoms.” Dr. Vliet considered this incident significant because these could be symptoms of Ebola, dengue fever, and hemorrhagic fever. They are not symptoms of early phase tuberculosis. Medical personnel are forced to suppress medical information, keeping the public in the dark.

The Inspector General for DHS released a report on July 31, 2014 in which he documented the spread of viral illnesses, previously eradicated and controlled, among the Border Patrol agents and their families. Dispersing these illegal aliens with unknown infections into the general population was a bad idea.

The “unclassified report” leaked to Breitbart Texas showed that 250 individuals from Pakistan, numerous Egyptians, Yemenis, Somalis, known sponsors of terrorism, and 3,200 people from China were caught sneaking across the border, “ a totally different pattern of previous illegal border crossings.” Dr. Vliet mentioned 89 cases last week of illegal aliens with TB at the border in Texas.

She believed that bringing in two patients infected with Ebola into the U.S. was a great risk to the patients and to the public. The safe transportation in hazmat suits and the special flight came at great expense, millions and millions of dollars when they could have been treated on site with the portable decontamination units, without risking the lives of the flight crews, the patients themselves, and the American public.

“We don’t know with certainty how Ebola is transmitted. There are studies from Canada that suggest that there is the possibility of aerosol (airborne) transmission.” She continued that medical personnel in protected hazmat suits, including a doctor, have died of Ebola. Lung fluids and other bodily excretions are highly contagious.

There is a stark disconnect between the government’s preparation to contain potential Ebola, going on around the country quietly, such as quarantine locations, requisitions for bio hazmat suits for the National Guard, and what people are being told publicly, not to worry about the spread of Ebola.".

Though Obama didn’t sign the Executive Order allowing for the rounding up and detention of Americans suspected of respiratory illnesses until today, Snyder correctly pointed out just 48 hours before the order that “isolation would not be a voluntary thing.”

The federal government would start hunting down anyone that they “reasonably believed to be infected with a communicable disease” and taking them to the facilities where other patients were being held.It wouldn’t matter if you were entirely convinced that you were 100% healthy. If the government wanted to take you in, you would have no rights in that situation. In fact, federal law would allow the government to detain you “for such time and in such manner as may be reasonably necessary”.

And once you got locked up with all of the other Ebola patients, there would be a pretty good chance that you would end up getting the disease and dying anyway.

It turns out that not only is the government prepared to identify, isolate and detain potentially contagious individuals, but they already have the facilities in place.

Ebola And Other Infectious Diseases--- A bio-terror threat at the border?
