Chuck Hagel Breaks His Silence

I’ve never been a big fan of former Secretary of Defense, Chuck Hagel, but one cannot help but feel some sympathy for a man who had to endure two years of fecklessness, incompetence and back-stabbing in the Obama White House. It would have been enough to drive any sane person stark, raving mad. Hagel announced his resignation in November 2014 (he stayed on a bit longer until replaced by Ashton Carter), but the brutal reality is that Obama had betrayed their friendship, and asked for his resignation, an utter humiliation.

President Obama and House Republicans failed to reach a deal to end the government shutdown and raise the debt ceiling at a White House meeting Thursday night.

Both sides, however, described it as constructive and said talks would continue through the night.

For the first time in my adult life, I am not proud of the First Lady.

Mrs. Obama is frequently compared to Marie Antoinette.  She spends hundreds of millions of dollars a year on her own pleasure and aggrandizement while urging the peasants to plant gardens.  And for the first time in American history, we have a president who insults us across the world, disavows the idea that American is special, enriches our enemies such as the Muslim Brotherhood, and degrades our achievements ("You didn't build that.").
