Republics were used in the United States because the founding fathers wanted to be prepared for a possibility of the public not being politically educated. The Constitution was written to give power to the government because they believed that the common people were too uninformed to make decisions about policy, and they began to be convinced that people have some inherent selfishness to them. I personally disagree with most of the statements in this video. I feel like Right-Wing and Left-wing are better defined by Hobbes' theory vs Rousseau's theory respectively. Hobbes believed that people need to be controlled, because they are inherently evil, while Rousseau believed that people are inherently good, but civil and societal pressures can turn people evil. This is why Communism and Anarchy are considered leftist extremism in this case: Communism is based off of Karl Marx's philosophy is that the Hegelian idea of "Geist" is going to progress people into a government where all people are given equal opportunities and equal outcomes for their lives, and it will be motivated by overthrowing the capital elites and dispersing the capital among the masses, which ties to this idea that all people in society want what's best for one another, even if they'll be worse off as a result. This also ties with Anarchy, because Anarchy is the complete definition of Rousseau's ideal government - Civilization makes people evil, and people are inherently good until society corrupts them, so people shouldn't have civilization because people will be good as a result. Now, taken into account what it does, it's safe to say that given Right-wing being the idea that people are inherently evil, you can understand why Totalitarianism and Fascism fall of the spectrum of Right-wing extremism. Both believe that people tend to be inherently evil, greedy, brutish, etc. to be given much power in the government, and that one pure leader needs to be in complete control so that the people do what's good for the stability of the government and society. You can see this in leaders like Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini, considering that if you opposed the government, you were sent to Concentration Camp. In that sense, it's an idea that you can't allow people to breed those kind of ideologies, because it's a slippery slope until they overthrow the totalitarian regime, and then destroy themselves by making their government virtually not exist, so they can revert to living like animals.
Ending the two party system is coming, this time people should stop supporting the same old dead beats in power now. Know who wants to go to DC & why, then asked them if they know what THE ACT OF 1871 is & means, if they don't know the difference in what this means they are not ready to become even dog catcher!
