Am humbly and sincerely requesting for your help if you can and may God bless you, thank you.
Ages of my children are 6,8 ,10&13 while orphans are 5&7, my annual income is about $ 400, I live in the city of kisumu,Kenya, doing manual work for a living,
I used to work with an NGO ( means non-governmental organization ) which closed down in 2007 due to post election violence, since then it has been a tall order for me since most businesses shut down and getting A job is not easy Task, so if you can help me or know of someone that can my address is below my Friends.
At the moment the cost of living is unbearable too high for a casual worker like myself and my family.
The cost of milk is $2, bread $4, Gas is $200 of which we use firewood cause it is unaffordable for lower class, even water we must buy my friends
Most of the basic commodities are hard earned for the common man, things like sugar, bread, milk are Pipe dream for the poor ,we some time go without them for several days my friend and that is a reality my Friends
There is no government assistance apart from bursaries which they give a quoter and the remaining is upon you, as per employment, it insists self employment especially for school leavers my friends of which if you want to start a business, getting capital is a tall order my friend
I am jobless & life is hard,am humbly requesting if anyone can assist me with a donation which can cater for the education for these children & to start something which I can help my children in future without depending on well wishers ,I will be grateful and may God bless you.

Many people have been left emotionally scarred in Kenya after the scenes of five years ago when more than 1,000 people were killed and around 300,000 were forced to leave their homes, following the disputed elections. The city of Kisumu, in the west of the country, was one of the worst affected by the bloodshed. Kisumu is home to prime minister and presidential contender for next week's elections, Raila Odinga. Attempts have been made there to encourage reconciliation amongst the city's different ethnic communities but as BBC Africa's Anne Mawathe reports many people are still gripped by fear.
