Team Obama has brought Americans to an all-time low

let's come together now in faith and action

When 72 percent of Americans surveyed by Gallup see big government as the greatest threat to their freedom and safety, we’ve got a huge problem. Gallup says: “This suggests that government policies specific to the period, such as the Affordable Care Act -- perhaps coupled with recent revelations of government spying tactics by former NSA contractor Edward Snowden -- may be factors.”
As a Virginia delegate, a former mayor and an Army veteran, I can unequivocally say that the Obama administration has brought Americans to an all-time low in policy and morale.

In addition to barricading veterans from open-air monuments during the government shutdown, President Obama has threatened us and military personnel since 2009. His administration put veterans, Christians and pro-lifers on a DHS terrorist watch-list of “rightwing extremists” and DHS is training law enforcement officers to possibly arrest such patriots.

Families of fallen Navy SEALs are suing the government because their loved ones were sabotaged in Afghanistan during “Extortion 17” and the Navy brought in a Muslim cleric who cursed to Hell their dead bodies and immortal souls.
The Catholic Archdiocese for the Military Services USA and the Chaplain Alliance for Religious Liberty uncovered a U.S. Army Reserve “Equal Opportunity” training brief that claims “Catholicism” and “Evangelical Christianity” are “religious extremism” groups like Al Qaeda and Hamas. And Catholic military chaplains were threatened with arrest if they said Mass during the shutdown

I was sent to Vietnam to fight communists--the notorious revolutionaries known for trying to silence God by killing Christians.
Now, in addition to attacking Christians in our military, Obama is gutting U.S. Armed Forces. Soon 19,000 Army captains and majors must go before early retirement boards. The Air Force will cut the jobs of 25,000 Airmen and eliminate 550 aircraft starting next June
Furthermore, the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2013 hurts military families by reducing earned benefits to retirees under age 62 and active-duty personnel are up in arms. I also suspect the Defense Department will cease combat pay.

The Washington Free Beacon reports that the budget may cut 55 percent of retirement pay for permanently disabled veterans.
Is it not enough that some of my fellow and sister veterans lost arms, legs, eyes or even their faces?
Is it not enough that many suffer brain injuries and post traumatic stress disorder?

When I was an Army sergeant bleeding to death in Vietnam, God saved my life with a miracle, but that’s not the end of the story. For three years my combat injuries disabled me from supporting my family. Then, after physical recovery, flashbacks continued to haunt me. In other words, many combat veterans are severely disabled by PTSD.

As a result, 62,600 veterans were homeless in 2012 according to the Veterans Administration. With the latest budget, Congress and the president may be sending more veterans to the streets instead cutting benefits to illegal aliens.

Already Obama’s so-called "Affordable Care Act" has cost millions of Americans their jobs and health insurance policies.

The Daily Caller tells us that this law empowers the IRS to fine hospitals who provide free health care to the poor. And while many of the homeless depend on restaurants and charitable organizations for food, the governments of New York, Los Angeles and other cities are banning food handouts.

More and more Americans are waking up, but that isn’t enough.

Ultimately God rules, but He granted us dominion over the Earth.
My life was miraculously saved in Vietnam due to the power of prayer. Every day that I was in combat, my wife Joy and our stateside pastor prayed for me.
Therefore, I ask my fellow and sister Americans to band together in faith and action. Before we lose all our God-given rights, please ask God to show you how you can you can best serve Him, our country and your neighbors.

Virginia Delegate Gordon Helsel (R-91) is former mayor of Poquoson. In 1968, he was bleeding to death in Vietnam when God saved his life in a most surprising way. For valor and wounds sustained, Sgt. Helsel was awarded the Bronze Star and two Purple Hearts. He wrote “The Day God Showed Up” as tribute to his wife, God, his fallen and wounded friends, and all Americans who put their lives on the line by serving our country.
