Virginia is the Next Battlefield for Gun Control

Ken Cuccinelli has closed some of the gap on Terry McAuliffe, but the 7% the libertarian candidate is pulling in could give the race to McAuliffe.  And for gun owners, a recent visit to McAuliffe from New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, could be the handwriting on the wall.  Bloomberg has been making large contributions to anti gun politicians, including $350,000 to Morse and Giron, who lost their recall elections.

You don’t need to be a genius to see what is going on.  McAuliffe will get a big check and once elected, he will repay Bloomberg with anti gun legislation.  Virginians have turned a blind eye to all of McAuliffe’s shady deals and in fact he promised to build his car factory in Virginia, then built in Mississippi instead.  They even have their head buried in the sand over McAuliffe being investigated by Homeland Security and the SEC.  It will be interesting if getting their guns confiscated will finally wake at least some of them up.
The first amendment is our most prized treasure, but it’s the second amendment that assures us of the first.  But guns are the enemy of the left for many reasons, including one you may never have even thought of.  Self reliance.  It is no accident that rural areas in this country are heavily conservative.  Farmers and hunters have always relied on themselves for food and sustainability.  The goal of liberals is to make everyone reliant on thegovernment for their food, shelter and now medical.  They are not willing to trade theirfreedom for a free pass.
Bloomberg has already spent 15 million towards anti gun initiatives and you can count on him spending much more.
