The List Of Republicans Who Say They Wont Defund Obamacare

And here we have it folks. This is the list of Republicans that said they would not vote any bill that defunds Obamacare prior to the Cruz 20+ hour filibuster on the Senate floor.

From Alabama, you have Senator Richard Shelby, known to vote against his party several times.

From Arizona, you have both Jeff Flake and John McCain. After Senator McCain’s speech where he belittled Senator Ted Cruz and said that the “American People have spoken” even though if the dear Senator had been listening he would have heard us cry out in support of the defunding of Obamacare. A personal grudge against the Junior Senator is no excuse for not executing the will of the people. Arizona has a recall law. May our friends in Arizona call and remind him for that. As for Senator Jeff Flake, his voting record since he has been in office is identical to Senator McCain much to his constituents shagrin.

From Missouri, you have Senator Roy Blunt.

From Kentucky, you have Senator Mitch McConnell who surprised us all today in not only applauding Senator Cruz but supporting him in defunding Obamacare. May he keep his backbone.

In North Carolina, you have Senator Richard Burr.

From Oklahoma you have Senator Tom Coburn.

From South Carolina, you have Senator Lindsey Graham. This is not a shocker with the way he and Senator McCain are usually arm in arm; however, the weekend has proven that the Senior Senator may back Senator Cruz in an effort to garner votes in his upcoming election. Lets hope he does.

From Tennessee, you have both Senators Bob Corker and Lamar Alexander.

And Finally, in Utah, you have Senator Orrin Hatch.

If you notice every one of these are the old guard that were embarrassed by the Affordable Care Act Fiasco of 2009 where it was shoved through at a full partisan vote and still barely made the limit to pass. After that year, several Senators lost their jobs. Perhaps people need to let these folks know we are still watching?

However, this just in, we have now added a twelfth member to this wall of Senators to call and tell them to stand for their oath of office and the American People. From I am the Tea Party Facebook Page:

John Cornyn just said on Hannity that he will vote FOR cloture and FUND Obamacare. The worst part of this is that he is trying to confuse people by saying will vote against the bill AFTER Reid takes out the defund language, as if we should congratulate him for allowing Reid to take out the defund language even though Cornyn will “courageously” vote against the final bill because it funds Obamacare. Can Cornyn be any more of a traitor right now?

Senator John Cornyn is also from Texas. He was elected under the guise of his work to stop government waste. He is also a member of the old guard that was embarrassed in 2009. One must wonder if this stand is that they were embarrassed once before and don’t want the embarrassment again, or perhaps the Old Guard, even under the leadership of an Old Guard member’s apprentice (Senator Cruz supported by Senator Inhoffe (R OK)) if they are just jealous that the new rookie outshines them

The best that We the People can do is call your senator, whether Republican or Democrat, and tell them how you feel about this train wreck they call the Affordable Care Act.
