The Issues Are Never The Issue

COMMENTARY – “We are 5 days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America. In 5 days you can turn the page on policies that have put greed and irresponsibility on Wall Street before the hard work of Main Street. In 5 days, you can choose policies that invest in our middle class, create new jobs and grow this economy so that everyone has a chance to succeed. Not just the CEO, but the secretary and the janitor. Not just the factory owner, but the men and women on the factory floor.“ (Barack Obama, October 30, 2008)
There is probably nothing more baffling to conservatives than how the likes of Barack Obama continues to hover above the ideological storm that he himself has created, a storm so immense with cultural, racial and economic adversity and division not seen since our Civil War that it seems almost inevitable our Republic is doomed to implode if not halted right now. Some believe it is already irreversible, that it is not a matter of if but a matter of when. So the question from true conservatives is and remains, “How does this guy stay above the fray? Are people really this blind?” I believe they are.
Corruption and immorality is almost a prerequisite for politics today so it would be hypocritical to claim Obama should be removed from office for those reasons alone, though these reasons are justified at any level. Hypocritical in the sense we the people keep electing corrupt and immoral morons to Congress and state office believing it is everybody else that is responsible for the political landscape today. So in my book Obama escapes that charge by default.
But you would think when all the facts are laid out objectively that we the people would already be on the streets en masse calling for the impeachment of Obama rather than demonstrating against IRS corruption, over taxation, abortion and homosexual marriage based solely on his ineptness as the head of our Executive Branch.
Unless, of course the secret to Obama’s success is that he is never charged with being inept. If you are not the one believed to be inept than who is going to level such a charge against you? You may be saying, “Yeah but most people know Obama is inept, under qualified to lead and no real experience at anything but community organizing.” And of course you would be right.
But what many may not realize is that in today’s environment of political ignorance within the electorate nurtured by our own hedonistic immorality and tainted with corruption on both sides of the political aisle being a community organizer is enough. Obama has been able to organize a vast majority of people like himself, inept in their knowledge of our Constitution, forgetful of our heritage and resentful of our history. He has in fact successfully organized “from the bottom up”(Barack Obama – Dreams From My Father).
In fact that is exactly what he and those who brought him through the Chicago machine have counted on. This is what he meant when he so famously stated in April 2008, “We are the ones we’ve been waiting for.” What Obama the organizer has been able to do is speak to the American people through what I call the “Obama Code”. Obama’s success with this code is that up until this point his code has not been deciphered by the majority of the electorate.
The Obama Code is a methodology based on a simple concept taught by Saul Alinsky – “Revolution through Evolution”.
It works like this. Identify an issue. If there isn’t one, create one. Then rail against the issue. Identify the perceived cause of the issue. Keep doing it until those listening begin to either identify with the issue or turn away from it with annoyance or disinterest. Demonize and ostracize opposition.
Then implement a series of methods that proposes to rectify the injustice of the issue in any way possible, as quick as possible before anyone finds out the motive behind the actions or questions the validity of the issue. And all the while campaign as the outsider looking in rather than an insider looking out.
The best example that comes immediately to mind is the manufacturing of the “War on Women”that provided Obama with considerable leverage against the GOP establishment, the Tea Party and Mitt Romney at a time when Romney and Obama were virtually dead even in the 2012 Presidential election polls.
This issue was “created’ during a debate between Romney and Obama, initiated by George Stephenopoulus. You may remember it.
Stephanopoulus asked Mitt Romney whether or not he would favor the overturning of a woman’s right to contraception in favor of state rights to legislate it. The question threw virtually everyone for a loop as it was not being discussed at any level.
Stephanopoulus later admitted that he asked the question based on a bet with Diane Sawyer, but we soon learned the real reason the question was asked was to allow Obama to wage a war that wasn’t occurring in order to identify, demonize and ostracize religious conscience because he was preparing to introduce government subsidized contraception through Obamacare.
At that time polls showed Romney was more trusted and believed to be a better leader but Obama was able to use this manufactured wedge to bring back the numbers in his direction, detracting from his failed administration and convincing the misinformation voter that he was the one that was on their side, not the wealthy job killing Republican who wanted to take away your right to practice birth control. This exchange also minimized the abortion issue which was beginning to damage liberals, virtually taking it off the social radar.
Many believe and I am one of them, this question along with Romney’s ill conceived statement about the 47% of Americans that would vote for Obama no matter what (I say ill conceived because it turns out to be 51% that will vote for Obama no matter what) was the difference in the election. That and voter fraud compounded by evangelical conservatives staying home.
There are many other issues and events we could expound on but space prevents this. My point is that through the Obama Code America is successfully being reprogrammed to believe issues we hold traditionally within the American conscience are not really the issues. The Obama Code is the means to an end, that end being the fundamental transformation of the United States of America into a single community controlled, regulated and taxed by a few in exchange for promised social justice for all.
In his pamphlet, “Barack Obama’s Rules For Revolution”, David Horowitz highlights the Obama Code this way: “In Rules For Radicals”, Alinsky wrote: ‘From the moment an organizer enters a community, he lives, dreams, eats, breathes, sleeps only one thing, and that is to build the mass power base of what he calls the army.’ The issue is never the issue. The issue is always the revolution.”
Can anyone doubt this describes Obama to a tee? The key to understanding Obama’s popularity in spite of his ineffectiveness as leader of the free world is this perception because he believes so adamantly what he believes he must be good at what he does. And if he is good at what he does then perhaps he is right. That makes anyone who opposes him wrong. Obama’s measure of success is not measured by results but is gauged by intent. So Obama is perceived as one of us because we judge our own lives in the same manner, by our intent rather than our actions.
So when Obama implements “Change We Need” whether it’s through a series of policies, initiatives or Executive Orders rather than lawful constitutional challenges it is seen as an acceptable way to battle Congress and the will of an American electorate that opposes such change.
This lends credibility to the rhetoric espoused on his constant campaign tours. This deceptively obtained credibility is what keeps him popular. It isn’t whether or not he is successful, it only what he wants to do. Obama supporters see Obama’s place as one who implements change that serves their desires rather than one who governs to preserve civil society. Like Obama, America is “evolving” into the socialistic society Norman Thomas prophesied back in 1948.
So don't be so perplexed at Obama’s ability to deceive and manipulate by simply standing in front of his teleprompter. What we the people need to do is simply share at every opportunity the meaning behind the Obama Code.
We do this by asking those who have drank the Kool-Aid one simple question: “Where are the results? Tell me. Take your time. I'll wait.” C'mon America we can do this. We've defeated bigger tyrants than Obama. After all, we are the ones we've been waiting for. We need to think of the possibility that perhaps Alinsky was right, that the issues are never the issue. It is the revolution that’s the issue. Perhaps we need to do this one more time.
