The Links Between Uncertainty, Faith, and Authenticity

I have been thinking a great deal lately about showing up in life as my authentic self. I have been working lately to achieve greater confidence in myself, my ideas, and my feelings. As a result of that confidence, I have started to become less fearful of uncertainty than I have in the past.
I had a bit of an epiphany last week. I realized that having faith that life will work out is a choice. It is easy to feel fearful of uncertainty. Indeed, accepting uncertainty has never come naturally to me. However, the ability to cope with the unknown is intimately related to the ability to listen to one’s intuition and live authentically.
For the most part, when we live authentically, we eventually come to the decisions in life that are genuinely right and beneficial for us. Even when we make so-called mistakes, if we are being authentic, we will realize that there are lessons to be learned from those mistakes that will help us grow and lead more fulfilling lives.
Therefore, when we live authentically, we may reasonably have faith that we will ultimately make the choices that will lead to a satisfying life. That faith allows us to sit comfortably with uncertainty, confident that, although we cannot see precisely how our paths will unfold, they will lead us toward happiness and fulfillment.
