The Internal Revenue Service is literally creating its own goon squad. The IRS has lost all perspective of its constitutional goal of tax collectors. The 16th Amendment reads: “The congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes from whatever source derived without apportionment among the several states, without regard to any census or enumerations.” By what possible stretch of the imagination can current IRS procedures be justified under this amendment? Does the 16th amendment repeal the first, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, and tenth amendments? Certainly these examples brought forth seem to indicate that the IRS thinks so!
At least its actions show this is the case. Typical American sarcasm is shown on bumper stickers across the country. “FIGHT ORGANIZED CRIME! ABOLISH IRS!” The IRS in its drive to overcome and destroy the will of the American people, has shown itself as a fearful master. It takes pleasure, and sustains to existence through the process of overcoming the will of the individual tax payer by means of the will of the bureaucrat backed by the IRS full power of the establishment. The life of the bureaucracy is an ever growing circle of struggles with and victories over the citizen.
When the IRS wins its case and extracts its tribute the agency swells in number and becomes more powerful. An expanding IRS does not loathe tax resisters. It needs them. It creates and atmosphere of intimidation and abuse which fear and hate are cultivated, which drives people into resistance to the system. They create and encourage confrontations. It is for these reasons of power and empire building that the IRS has recently chosen to pursue and destroy America’s Private Schools.
