Hillary Just Biden Her Time?

Is it is mere coincidence that we’re seeing a bunch of stories dribbling out about our drooling vice president, Joe Foot-In-Mouth Biden?  First, we hear from the new Helprin-Heilemann book, Double-Down, that Obama and his political team considered replacing Biden on the ticket in 2012, but of course this is all stoutly denied by most everyone.
More curious is this story attacking Biden for going all wobbly on the Bin Laden raid back in 2011, based on comments Hillary Clinton made in Atlanta in what she thought was a no-press event:

No ears reported any mention of whatever 2016 ambitions Clinton might have. But state Rep. Tom Taylor, R-Dunwoody, said the former first lady dropped a huge hint. “I know she’s running for president now, because toward the end, she was asked about the Osama bin Laden raid. She took 25 minutes to answer,” Taylor said. “Without turning the knife too deeply, she put it to [Vice President Joe] Biden.”
Time and time again, Taylor said, Clinton mentioned the vice president’s opposition to the raid, while characterizing herself and Leon Panetta, then director of the Central Intelligence Agency, as the action’s most fierce advocates.

Ah yes, the Clintons again.  (Nightmare scenario: Jeb Bush and Hillary are the two nominees in 2016, making it another Bush-Clinton election.  Shoot me now.)  Biden’s bad press surely isn’t an accident, as the Marxists might say.
Expect the Clinton attacks on Biden to increase, especially in light of the data Frank Bruni reports in the New York Times today about Hillary’s sinking public approval, even though she’s been laying low since leaving Foggy Bottom:

A poll released last week by NBC News and The Wall Street Journal charted the decline. It found that the percentage of Americans who view her favorably had dropped to 46 from 56. The percentage with unfavorable views had risen, less strikingly, to 33 from 29.
Here we go. The beginning of the end of her inevitability.

It’s about time, because the truth, more apparent with each day, is that she has serious problems as a potential 2016 presidential contender, and the premature cheerleading of Chuck Schumer and other Democrats won’t change that.

Cue the Elizabeth Warren campaign.
