Exodus 20:12-16 “Honor thy father and thy mother that thy days may be long upon the Land which the Lord thy God giveth thee. Thou shalt not murder, thou shalt not commit adultery, nor steal, nor bear false witness against thy neighbor.” Since the dawn of time man’s progress has been primarily determined by his ability to establish agreement with his fellow man.
Morality deals with special agreements which the accumulated experiences of any group, race, or nation has shown to improve their chances of survival conversely. Immorality encompasses violations of those agreements which blunt the chances of survival. The strongest and most enduring civilizations have had the most developed and enlightened moral codes.
Theodore Roosevelt once warned: “To educate a child in mind and not morals is to educate a menace to society!” Historically, religion has been the primary source of spiritual inspiration for the development and maintenance of high levels of morality. With psychiatry’s relentless assault however, the time honored moral precepts of our great religions have been increasingly passe’ (left in the past) for today’s youth.
Once upon a time society understood “confession is good for the soul.” Nowadays with the soul expunged by psychiatric propaganda society is told that confession will reduce your esteem as a human being, which, by the way, is no more than a biochemical accident of nature!
