#11 Freud Destroys Religious Authority:
One of the greatest antagonists of religion was the psychologist Sigmund Freud, declaring religion as the enemy. Freud saw spiritual belief as superstition and the “universal obsessional neurosis.” He also envisioned the death of the church at the hands of psychiatry. The scientific spirit being about a particular attitude toward worldly matters before religious matters.
It pauses and hesitates...but crosses the threshold. The greater number of men of whom the treasures of knowledge become accessible, the more widespread is the falling away from religious belief. ----At first, only from its obsolete and objectionable trappings but later from fundamental postulates. (reasonably assuming) Freud wrote unreservedly that free sexual intercourse between males and respectable girls was urgently necessary or society was doomed to fall a victim to incurable neurosis which reduce the enjoyment of life to a minimum, destroys marriage relations, and brings hereditary ruin on the whole coming generation.
Such was the “WISDOM” of Freud. His impact on the thinking of psychologists and psychiatrists internationally was summed up by Dr. Al Paredes, professor of psychiatry at UCLA in Los Angeles, California: “Psychiatric values have been very influenced, especially by Freudian influences in regard to sex and in regard to morality in general. If you look at the personal lives of all Freud followers--- his initial disciples--- These people certainly have an unbelievable amount of particular problems in the sexual area.... the amount of deviancy, as far as their sexual behavior, is enormous.
If you are saying that psychiatry promotes a certain form of morality---then, yes, I agree. It is a devious morality!
