How History Can Repeat Itself or Interesting Parallels of Past and Present.

I love history and how it seems to repeat itself time after time. We as a people tend not to look at the dusty relevance of the past to our own detriment because it does indeed repeat itself. Sometimes it is good and sometimes bad but it does repeat. If not in the identical way but in ways you can draw parallels between people, events and can come to the conclusion: yet again that history is repeating itself and that maybe we are living in a parallel universe.

Take into consideration the history of the Clinton's. They have for decades had numerous scandals and associations that could land the everyday Americans in jail. Take for instance William Jefferson Clinton was impeached for 1) perjury, and 2) Obstruction of Justice. Seems that Hillary does have a problem with ethics, she likes to obfuscate and conceal the facts from the American people as does her husband. Bill Clinton gave a tremendous speech at the Democratic national convention where he praised the brilliant "Orwellian Economic Program" of president Obama. The speech was hailed in the media, applause was resounding and there stood, slick Willie, up there knowing what he said but the clapping seals in the audience were showing the support for the economics program that will destroy this country and Bill knew it. After all he did call it "Orwellian" didn't he.

Several months ago I wrote another note "Words Matter." To review this is the meaning of Orwellian:"Orwellian" describes the situation, idea, or societal condition that George Orwell identified as being destructive to the welfare of a free and open society. It connotes an attitude and a policy of control by propaganda, surveillance, misinformation, denial of truth, and manipulation of the past, including the "unperson" — a person whose past existence is expunged from the public record and memory, practiced by modern repressive governments. Note it is a policy of control that is DESTRUCTIVE to a free and open society. They achieve that goal through manipulation of past, and deny the truth through misinformation which the media is complicit in.

Now we are faced with Hillary 2.0. Or should I say 3.0. Hillary 1.0 I could say was her involvement with the impeachment of Richard Nixon in 1974. A position she obtained through a law professor from Harvard whom she was familiar with and also Senator Ted Kennedy. According to Jeffrey Zeifman she was fired for "unethical" behavior." Quote from Mr. Zeifman says it all about the ethics of Mrs Clinton "My own reaction was of regret that, when I terminated her employment on the Nixon impeachment staff, I had not reported her unethical practices to the appropriate bar associations." Also according to Mr. Ziefman, “was so fraudulent and ridiculous Hillary would have been disbarred if she had submitted it to a judge.” Seems that she attempted to deny President Nixon counsel and also through the disappearance of documents needed for his adequate counsel. I think not.

Now as for a real study in the parallels of history. I was doing some history research on the Texas Rangers. Came up with some very fun facts. Even some parallels in our recent history. Watching the American Heroes Channel they made mention as to the man who hunted down Bonnie and Clyde. No I am not comparing Bill and Hillary to Bonnie and Clyde but it could be an interesting slant. The Texas Rangers had been disbanded for the most part what I would call political in nature. The Texas Rangers were being disbanded by the new Governor of Texas Miriam A. Ferguson, known as "Ma" Ferguson. The Rangers were backing Governor Ross Sterling who lost to Ma. But I am ahead of myself. Her first run at Governor was 1924 which she won with a slogan "Me for Ma, and I ain't got a Darned Thing Against Pa." You see, Ma was running for office after her husband a former Governor of Texas was "impeached." Seems he went after enemies on his enemies lists to include some who opposed him in politics. He was impeached and removed from office in 1917 among such charges of misapplication of public funds and also receiving $156,000 dollars from an unnamed source. Sound familiar? How about this: the slogan came from Ma's declaration that she would take advise from her husband, kinda 'two for one' governor. Does this sound familiar during the Campaign for Bill Clinton for president?


Now as for the disbanding of the Texas Rangers. They, in my opinion were disbanded because they supported Governor Sterling and therefore landed on the enemies list of Ma Ferguson. Yes, there was a depression but the politics of disbanding a very successful law enforcement agency in the middle of depression era outlaws made Texas an ideal place for the bad guys to go for cover. Seems Ma was worried that the Texas Rangers would explore her and pa's financial and political connections and one thing about corruption they don't want the daylight to impede their financial gain. Making sure those with the ability to explore some of their more nefarious activities are not around to do so. Ma Ferguson was the political Ma Barker of the day and age.
