Daily Bites of Parents Fight Back: #27 Child Punished for Refusing Psychological Therapy: court transcripts:
In spite of the Hatch Amendment passed in 1984 stating that therapy taught in public school must have permission of student and parent, a teacher, in a PTA meeting learned that his daughter had been punished for refusing psychological therapy in class.
Emotionally, she was openly chided and ridiculed by other kids in the school without intervention from her teacher. Physically, she was detained and threatened with a pink slip if she did not attend, causing her to lose free time during school, unlike the students who attended the program. But what parents are concerned about is much, much more than the broken laws of the school.
The underlying attitude and philosophy of all the related programs and the way they are conducted in secrecy from the parents is an instrument of undermining proper upbringing of children according to the beliefs and ideals of the parents.
Discussions centering around divorce, sexual activity, homosexual and lesbian lifestyle, death and dying, abortion, and so forth... when introduced in the primary grades and led through discussions into liberal attitudes can only serve to break down the morals of the student involved....if not then and there in the classroom, then to set them up for breaking and deviating from them in their shortly arriving adolescent years.
While the actual “Pilot Project” experimental curriculum did not begin until 1982, the unwritten curriculum and philosophy has been taught in certain segments for many years, undergoing refinements in its approach and secrecy all these years! Students have been placed under doctor’s care directly from these programs! (to be continued) Teaching no Right or Wrong!
