I Am A Patriot!

I Love My Country

Joe Esposito

"I Love My Country - I Am A Patriot!!"

P is for the PRIDE I have for my Country

A is for the ALLEGIANCE I pledge to the Flag

T is for the TRIBUTE I accord to our Founding Fathers

R is for the REVERENCE I hold for our Constitution

I is for the IDEALISM that symbolizes America

O is for the OPENNESS that is the fabric our Society

T is for the TIMELESSNESS of our form of Government

As this July 4th holiday draws to a close on the East Coast of our beloved America and with the fireworks going off in the background lighting up a magnificent sky I dedicate the following song to the Founding Fathers who passed on to each one of us a wonderful country ...

"GOD BLESS THE USA"

(lyrics by Lee Greenwood)

If tomorrow all the things were gone

I'd worked for all my life,

And I had to start again

with just my children and my wife,

I'd thank my lucky stars

to be living here today,

'Cause the flag still stands for freedom

and they can't take that away.

And I'm proud to be an American

where at least I know I'm free,

And I won't forget the ones who died

who gave that right to me,

And I gladly stand up next to you

and defend her still today,

'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land

God Bless the U.S.A.

From the lakes of Minnesota

to the hills of Tennessee,

Across the plains of Texas

from sea to shining sea.

From Detroit down to Houston

and New York to L.A.,

well There's pride in every American heart

and it's time we stand and say:

that I'm proud to be an American

where at least I know I'm free,

And I won't forget the ones who died

who gave that right to me,

And I gladly stand up next to you

and defend her still today,

'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land

God Bless the U.S.A.

And I'm proud to be an American

where at least I know I'm free,

And I won't forget the ones who died

who gave that right to me,

And I gladly stand up next to you

and defend her still today,

'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land

God Bless the U.S.A.
