An Intercession (an Acrostic Sonnet)

Amazing Lord, in Spirit and in flesh,

No other than to You belongs all prayer.

I seek Your Holy Will today afresh,

Now hear this simple plea, a heart laid bare.

Take pity on the world, please hold Your hand,

Extend Your Grace to all You wish to save.

Refresh Your children's hearts across the land;

Complete through us the work Your Son's life gave.

Extend Your healing touch to those in need

So that the sick in sin may know You're God.

Show favor that our Saviour intercede;

In all is sought Your Will, the Spirit's prod.

O Lord, I pray for friends and family,

Now hear this heart laid bare, a simple plea.
