I am very conservative in my Politics, at the same time, I try hard to read
and watch liberals at least some on C-SPAN. If you don't understand your enemy
he will surprise you and the element of surprise will give him the advantage. I
belong to an on line group of computer programmers. They are a nice enough
bunch, but they are liberals.
They will feed a starving child but will not teach him to feed himself, they assume they will need to feed him for life because he will never be intelligent enough to do for himself. I argue with them from a conservative standpoint and one thing I know for sure is, I am winning when they begin to curse me. The better my argument the more they curse and name call. I am sure I have had an effect on them because they call me names.
In reading and posting here on the Patriot Action lists now and then I see the same from some who post here, it is generally from frustration and I hate it, because it is a learned thing that comes from Liberals. I catch myself doing it and have to go back and delete the offending sentences. I was recently called a Liberal Democrat plant because the poster disagreed with me. My posts speak for them selves so I doubt he'll convinced anyone. Still it angered me and I had to delete my next post because it contained a counter attack. I hate it when conservatives resort to liberal tactics to defend an indefensible position. Elections will not be won by these kind of arguments and nasty name calling. I make failed arguments too, and then I go back apologize and change them if I am not blinded by my own failed argument. It is so easy to be pushed into a corner where it's tempting to attack. I try to remember, most of the time it's because I am wrong.
