It
seem the Phoenixville Area School District would like to expand the campus of a
local High School and has decided to do so by forcing of the owners of the
Meadow Brook Golf Club to turnover the Club's property.
Who
knew school boards had the authority to enforce such decisions? While this is
all very scary, we need not be afraid to act.
Take Action
Tomorrow, Dom Giordano will broadcast live (9 AM-12 Noon) from the
Meadow Brook Golf club in
Phoenixville. He is asking WPHT 1210 listeners to drop by and sign
petitions requesting the Phoenixville Area School District reverse its plans to
seize control of the Meadow Brook Golf Club.
He is also suggesting that those who live in Phoenixville or who
frequent the golf course to contact the school district and urge them to reverse
their decision.

Dream Act Follies
When he initially ran for governor in 2009, Chris
Christie made statements
opposing the concept of the Dream Act.
Four years later, Governor Christie signaled he was ready to sign
the Dream
Act making its way through the Democrat-controlled New Jersey
Legislature.
A bit of a snag, however, developed in the 2nd Act of this
drama as the Governor has most recently
indicated he cannot support the
Democrat bill because it doesn't offset the
cost of additional
financial aid being offered
to children of illegal residents and it doesn't
contain a "sunset"
proviso.
Could it be that the lore of the Republican
Presidential nomination has the Governor
'supporting
the bill before opposing it?'
We'll take whatever we can get.
Take Action
If you live in Jersey, please call Governor
Christie @ 609-292-6000. Urge him to veto
this
costly piece of legislation.
