The president of a Florida tea party group died in a car accident
in Marion County, Fla., on Friday.
Stephen Hunter, 70, was attempting to make a left turn on U.S. 441 and was struck by an oncoming pickup truck, The Associated Press reported.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Mr. Hunter was head of the Ocala Tea Party for the past several years. He served in the Vietnam War and later worked at the defense contractor Lockheed Martin, the report said.
