Deja Vu?

 By Barney Byrne
On Saturday night,  November 23rd, Secretary of State, John Kerry announced in a nationally televised news conference that the Obama Administration had just concluded a deal with Iran, in which the United States and other counties would reduce sanctions on Iran ,if Iran would scale back their enrichment of uranium and stop construction on their plutonium plant.  Secretary Kerry stated, that the Iranians have insisted from the beginning that their pursuit of nuclear options were for peaceful purposes only.
Secretary Kerry should know that plutonium enrichment has only one purpose, and that is to make an Atomic bomb.  The pressure of our sanctions were just starting to have a real impact and our government should not have been willing to cave in without the Iranians dismantling their plutonium plant, at the very least before relaxing sanctions.  This agreement is very similar to the way the North Koreans, snookered the Clinton Administration, in 1994 just before they concluded their Nuclear Bomb ambition.
Also, I guess our government never watches T.V.  If they did, they could not help but see the many commercials, showing the horrific injuries that were done to our Wounded Warriors by I.E.D.'s.  These roadside bombs have killed and maimed thousands of our brave men and women in uniform.  It is well known that Iran has produced, planted and  distributed  these weapons to most of the terrorists throughout the Middle East. These deadly explosives have caused so much harm to our Fallen soldiers.  Nary a word was mentioned of these horrors by our Secretary.  Why didn't  our Country demand an end to the production of these horrific weapons?
Watching Secretary Kerry's press conference on television, I could almost envision Neville Chamberlain standing behind Secretary Kerry, with his hand upon his shoulder, saying, "Peace in our time".  Chamberlain was the Prime Minister of Great Britain, who in 1938 had convinced Czeckoslovakia to cede a large part of their country to Hitler's, Nazi Germany.   As they say, "Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result, is insanity.  Appeasement, while our military personnel are still being blown up, is insanity.
