SALINAS
VS TEXAS...have
you seen that the SCOTUS ruled on the Right to Remain Silent and the ruling
shows there is no longer that right in the good ole USA? Such articles like
this are floating around FaceBook...

I recall much of the controversy surrounding this case as I live in the area of which the murders and trial took place as well as the appeal to the lower court in my state. The
factual content of this case goes like this:
Genoveno Salinas was a guest at a party two murder victims hosted. Six shotgun
shells were recovered from the scene. Police were told that "a dark
colored vehicle was seen driving away from that scene." Police arrived at
Genoveno Salinas' home of which the first thing they saw was a dark blue
vehicle parked in his drive way. Salinas was all liver lipped when interviewed.
He even allowed the police to take his shotgun to check ballistics’. This
entire one hour, he never once said, "I want to speak to a lawyer before I
answer your questions or allow you to take any of my property." Nope...he
instead was all liver lips and foolishly co-operative until the police
questioned, "Will the casings found at the scene match this shotgun?"
Salinas fell silent and looked tense...he was then placed under arrest and read
his Miranda Rights.
This case resembles that of Jodi Arias...she thought she was too smart for
police too. It also shines a light on why Congressman Trey Gowdy (R-SC)
questioned IRS Lois Lehrner's actions and statements before she invoked her 5th
Amendment Rights. In short...one should never be so liver lipped and
co-operative...One should not say a word except that they plead the 5th
or they want that lawyer before they say one word…ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY KNOW
THEY ARE GUILTY OF THE CRIME the investigation is inquiring about.
