White House Removes Anti-Beyonce Petition

Today one of the lead stories on Politico (a Washington, DC, newspaper) is about the White House removing a petition on the "We the People" section of their website that calls for pop star Beyoncé — President Obama's close friend — to be "disinvited" from singing the National Anthem at next week's inauguration.

"Given that just about any silly petition can make a cameo on the White House's website, it takes someone special to get one removed. Beyoncé is that kind of special."

After spending the past few weeks advocating for the removal of the petition calling for the Catholic Church to be declared a hate group and being ignored by the White House, this is a slap in the face to every single person of faith in this country. How is a petition calling the Catholic Church a hate group "silly" and one demanding someone other than Beyoncé sing at the inauguration not?
