The People Have Spoken

Like him or not, Mitt Romney ran a good race. In fact he ran a great race. He was “presidential”, he’s brilliant beyond anything I can imagine, he presented an alternative, and the voters of the United States said, “Take a seat on the bench.”
WOW. WOW. WOW. The message is still sinking in.
The people spoke, but one can’t help but wonder in what language they expressed themselves and I’m beginning to think it wasn’t in English.

Last night I discussed the lives of Mitt and Ann Romney and asked rhetorically, “Do you think they’re sleeping well?” Nobody could ask for a better shot at the prize. Nobody could have picked a better running partner than Paul Ryan, and nobody could have presented a more workable alternative than Mitt Romney, and America said, “NOT INTERESTED.”
Watch out what you wished for, because reality is going to land soon with a giant thud. Apparently the country wants foreign energy dependency, the country cannot wait to embrace the excessive taxation of Obamacare, it desires a neutered military, and cares not a whit about a strangling deficit. The questions are how and why did we make this decision, and what prompted the country to accept such a weak man as its leader after he’s proven himself to be a naïve and incompetent poser. I’ve heard people try to peddle the “new normal” but what awaits us is ridiculous, and is “complemented” by a Senate that against its Constitutional mandate has not presented a budget in nearly five years, thanks to oily Henry Reid, a man who does not deserve another term as the Senate majority leader, but could perhaps be changed by a term in prison.
The people spoke, but one can’t help but wonder in what language they expressed themselves and I’m beginning to think it wasn’t in English.
Would you want to own stock right now? Think it through. Take your hard-earned money and bet the farm on the stock market, using the rationale that the business environment has never been better, that the future looks promising, and that bottom lines for corporations never looked brighter and that they’ll thrive with all the recently written and ongoing onerous laws.
The foreign policy of this administration, or lack thereof, will continue to be favorable toward radical Islam, having sat like a potted plant while more strategic land was ceded to militants than Hitler was able to acquire during WWII. Mr. Obama has signaled to Israel that it is no longer an ally and that he will stand down with respect to maniacal Iran. The country inexplicably voted for a man who believes the position of Secretary of State is for amateurs, so whether Obama continues to leverage the pictures and negatives he has of her it will be interesting to see if he opts to keep Hillary Clinton for another four years when in fact she has demonstrably shown ineptitude and proven that she is in depths she cannot fathom. We have relinquished our right to develop our own energy and made a decision that we want to remain puppets to OPEC.
