Obama; The Grand Truth Teller?
In the first presidential debate, President Obama kept referring to economists who provided the data for his criticism of Mitt Romney’s tax plan which entails $5 trillion in tax cuts. It’s a line he’s been regurgitating all over the campaign trail to the American people. One of those economists, we have learned, is Princeton University professor Harvey Rosen, who has said he “can’t tell exactly how the Obama campaign reached that characterization of my work.”
Furthermore, the president’s own deputy campaign manager conceded to CNN host Erin Burnett that the $5 trillion number is wrong! Her exact words were, “It won’t be near $5 trillion, but…” Well, you know what they say about anything that follows the word but.
