Hannity says the Mueller probe is ‘crashing down’

These were the words Fox News host Sean Hannity used to describe the house of cards that is the investigation looking into possible collusion between the Trump presidential campaign and the Kremlin. The more we learn about this house of cards, the more precarious it becomes and as Hannity says, this one is beginning to “crash down.”
The team doing the investigating is headed by special counsel and former FBI director Robert Mueller. Watch Hannity’s Thursday night Opening Monologue, via Fox News:





Conflicts of interest
Hannity began with a report from Fox News Washington, D.C. correspondent James Rosen. He reported that former Associate Deputy Attorney General Bruce Ohr was stripped of that title when his superiors discovered he had meetings last year with two controversial figures: Glenn Simpson, founder of opposition research firm Fusion GPS, and Christopher Steele, the former British intelligence officer who authored the infamous and largely discredited “Trump Dossier.”

The firm was hired and the dossier was commissioned jointly by the Democratic National Committee and the Hillary Clinton campaign.

Ohr’s demotion came fast on the heels of FBI agent and counterintelligence expert Peter Strzok’s removal from Mueller’s team. He was reassigned to the FBI’s human resources department after numerous text messages he’d written that were critical of Trump were discovered.

“This guy never slept”

Hannity observed that the House Committee on Intelligence is set to subpoena Ohr for additional information about his meetings with Simpson and Steele and that lawmakers raked FBI Director Christopher Wray over the coals because of Strzok’s anti-Trump activities while on Mueller’s team and before.

“Remember, Strzok signed the document that started the entire Russian investigation,” Hannity said, before listing his other activities.

Hannity noted: “Strzok’s team was assigned to handle the “dossier” when it was first given to the FBI. And, Strzok oversaw the interview of former national security advisor Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn. And he played a key role in the [Hillary] Clinton email investigation.”

He added, “This guy never slept,” and noted that he was also present when Clinton was interviewed by the FBI — an interview that took place without Hillary being under oath.

As more is revealed about those in or associated with Mueller’s team, the bigger the investigation’s house of cards becomes and the more likely it is to crumble under its own weight.

And just like Humpty Dumpty, not even all the king’s horses and men will be able to make it whole again.

In short, the entire Mueller investigation becomes less credible every day it proceeds.
