The Realistic Game Of Life

Players:

-(MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE TO PLAY)-

Rules:

There are four dice in this box. To choose which player you are, roll the dice. The player who has the highest is player one. The second highest is player four. The third highest is player two. The fourth highest will be player three. There are 365 spaces on the board. Player one begins 15 spaces ahead of players two and three. Player four will distribute $500,000 to player one at the start of the game. Player two will either choose to join the work-force, and gain $10,000 immediately, however, his or her career’s maximum income will only be $45,000 or they will choose to go to college.

If player two chooses to go to college, they will be in debt $150,000 to the banker/government, however, their maximum career income can range from $10,000 to $100,000. Player three will start 5 turns behind players one and two. Player three will only be allowed to join the work-force. Their job’s maximum income will only be $35,000. Player three will receive social and monetary benefits from the banker/government, paid for by player two when player two lands on the “tax” space located every 30-31 spaces throughout the board and in one case, 28 or 29.

Directions for Each Player:

Player 1: (Player one has a career income range from $200,000 to $5.6 billion)

1. Player 1 must attend a prominent college, typically paid for by mommy or daddy.
   1. The colleges that player 1 may choose from are:
      1. Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Princeton, NYU, Cal Berkeley, San Diego State, Duke, Georgetown, MIT, Boston College, or University of Pennsylvania.
2. Player 1 must donate to one or more charities per year.
   1. You may even create a charity in your own name. You do not have to care about the cause that your charity supports, you must do this, however, for tax write off purposes.
3. Player 1 must buy a home in either one of these four locations:
   1. Three floored Penthouse Suite, Manhattan, New York City, New York, USA.
   2. $250,000,000 mega-mansion with your own private yacht and chip-and-put golf course on the California coast. Malibu, California, USA.
   3. Coastal Villa in the beautiful French Riviera. Monte Carlo, Monaco.
   4. Penthouse Suite with a private roof pool. Miami, Florida, USA.
4. Player 1 must drive either one of the four cars:
   1. Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Super Sport Engine (1,200 bhp). $2.4 mil*
   2. Porsche 991 Carrera S 3.8 Liter Engine (400 hp).$103,400*
   3. Mercedes AMG GT C Roadster 4.0L V8 Bi-turbo engine (550 hp). $112,125*
   4. Bentley Continental GT W12 twin turbo engine (500-633 hp). $198,500*
5. Player 1 must have one of these jobs:
   1. TV Personality
   2. Movie Star
   3. Surgeon
   4. Reality TV Star (No one likes you, you’re just rich)
   5. Inventor of a new website

1. Your gender will play a major part in the income you receive as well as your social benefits in and out of the work place.
2. You will have to pay for someone else (Player 3) to live and to support a family. Sorry just how taxes work. You will also pay for things you do not support or utilize.
   1. Failure to do so will result in any of the mentioned:
      1. jail time, foreclosure/sheriff sale of your home, or repossession of items that you bought on your own but which player 4 believes that they own now.
3. You will have to mortgage your home. Your average home will cost about $200,000-250,000 depending on where you chose to live.
4. You will more than likely have to commute to a job in which you do not like.
   1. TIP: Your commute time will be frustrating, annoying, and longer than anticipated.
5. If you decide to send your children to Public School, depending on the location, their education may be either failing them or helping them.
   1. TIP: Living in a city, for example, Philadelphia, will result in a poor average public education for your children.
      1. TIP cont.: Living in the suburbs or counties will result in a higher public education than in the city.
   2. If you decide to send your children to private school, the average cost for that will cost you roughly $2,000-$17,000, depending on their grade level.
      1. Elementary/Grade School Level education will cost less than $10,000.
         1. High School education will cost roughly $5,000-17,000.
            1. Public College education will vary from state to state. Typically, you or your child will have to pay $21,000 and will be in debt to the banker/government for $100,000-150,000.
6. You will work your entire life, saving, or attempting to save for a retirement fund at which you may obtain at age 65+.
   1. However, your retirement fund will almost definitely be significantly less than you think it should be.
      1. You will be able to receive social benefits from the banker/government such as Social Security, Medicare/Medicaid, etc.

Player 3:

1. Player two will pay for you to live. You will not be thriving because of the social/racial disparity in place, however, it’s better than nothing.
   1. You may receive benefits such as:
      1. Child Care
      2. Welfare
      3. Section 8 Housing Project
         1. Basically, like living in hell but Player 4 thinks that it works for you.
      4. Government issued cell phone
      5. Food Stamps
2. You must work long hours at a job that pays only minimum wage or a job that pays a tad bit more than $7.25. Quite possibly a job that pays $12 per hour.
   1. The job in which you seek that pays more than minimum wage is a significant distance from your home.
      1. You may not see your family as often as you would like because of the hours in which you work.
      2. Public Transportation such as buses, trollies, and trains will be available for you to utilize for a fee of $2.25.
3. You will rarely, if ever, be capable of moving into Player 2’s position, depending on your race and gender.
4. You will typically be profiled.
   1. You will have to accept this.

Player 4:

1. Must be the rule keeper of the game.
   1. You will lend money/give money to players 1-3.
      1. You will cut Player 1 a break whenever they do something criminal or ludicrous. Players 2-3 will not be able to get out of the criminal act/consequences however.
      2. You will lie to players 2 and 3 and will give them false promises.
2. You will be given an annual salary that begins at $178,000 and will increase to about $400,000.
   1. In any event, you may be given monetary bribes/benefits from Player 1 to look the other way when they commit a criminal act.
3. You are technically a representative appointed by the people for the people and you are restricted to term limits every 40 spaces. In any event, because you are the incumbent, you have the advantage and will never lose your position as Player 4.
