JUST IN: Senate Committee Raises New Questions As “Alarming” Development Discovered
The Senate Judiciary Committee, who is running the investigation about the allegations of the alleged Russian collusion in the 2016 presidential election, has uncovered some disturbing questions regarding the infamous and unverified Trump dossier. In what has been considered as an “alarming” turn of events that promises to raise controversy, there could have been collusion between the FBI and foreign intel agencies over this dossier, which originated from the mysterious research firm Fusion GPS.

The delicate element about this issue is that the unverified dossier was used by the Obama administration as the perfect pretext to spy on Donald Trump’s presidential campaign. Believe it or not, this ruse included cribbing the dossier’s salacious allegations in secret court applications for wiretap warrants.

The person who is questioning the FBI is the Republican chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee Chuck Grassley (R-IA). In a letter sent last week, he asked FBI Director Christopher Wray about the possibility that the dossier’s allegations about collusion between Trump associates and the Kremlin were “surreptitiously funneled” from foreign intelligence agencies to U.S. intelligence agencies.

Apparently, FBI agents reportedly offered British spy Christopher Steele $50,000 last October to continue his investigation of Trump´s links to Russia.

Naturally, the implications of this issue would be extremely damaging considering the investigation that Special Counsel Robert Mueller is conducting. In fact, this would be a major hit to the probe, given the fact that its image would be massively harmed.

The Iowa Senator pointed out that Christopher Steele, who was the former British spy who authored the dossier, has acknowledged in a London court that he shared this information with the British Intelligence services. According to Grassley, this situation raises the possibility that the reports about foreign intel agencies confirming some parts of the document might be nothing more than “an echo” of the dossier itself.

In his letter to the FBI Director, Grassley wrote that “It is possible that this political dossier’s collusion allegations…may have also been surreptitiously funneled into U.S. intelligence streams through foreign intelligence sharing.”

Basically, Grassley is executing a lot of pressure to the Bureau in order to force them to explain how it sought to ensure that foreign intel used in the Russia investigation was not ultimately sourced back to the unverified dossier.

In the letter, which was sent a week ago, the chairman voiced concern over “material inconsistencies” in the FBIs answers to past questions about their use of the dossier authored by the British spy. Considering that he passed at least some of the document’s contents to the British government, Grassley asked how the Bureau ensured that the foreign intel used in the investigation was not based solely on the British spys’ research.

Grassley wrote that if this situation happened “it would be alarming.” In addition, he wrote that “Steele’s dossier allegations might appear to be ‘confirmed’ by foreign intelligence, rather than just an echo of the same ‘research’ that Fusion bought from Steele and that the FBI reportedly also attempted to buy from Steele.”
