As believers in Christ you and I are called to lift the burdens of our suffering brothers and sisters. That’s why I am writing to ask for your immediate help. The terror that continues to ravage Iraq, Syria, and of late, Egypt, is being described as the greatest humanitarian disaster of our time.
Isis uses families as human shields against the surging Iraq army. They cruelly execute men and boys who will not fight for them in Fallujah. Isis guns down those who desperately try to escape their torture. Reliable sources tell me that leaders of Islamic state have produced a price list for christian and yazidi females from 0 to 50 years old and are market these captured women and girls on line as sex slaves. For many their plight is becoming so desperate that they are turning to suicide. The persecution is especially harsh for christians. Those who survive have become refugees within their own country’s border. Their need for food shelter and medical aid increases daily. Right now when it is so desperately needed you can help by sending a cardboard box full of food that will feed an entire family for an entire month.
