#13 Shaping a Soul in a Test Tube:

Religion’s usurpation was being orchestrated behind the cloistered walls of the “New Wisdom.” Consider the statement delivered at the Sixth International Congress of Philosophy held at Harvard University in 1926 when it was stated:
“The soul of consciousness which played a leading part in the past is now considered of very little importance. In any case, both are deprived of their main functions and glory to such an extent that only the names remain.” Behaviorism sang its mournful song--while materialism became its smiling heir and arranged the suitable funeral for the soul of consciousness.
No one knows just how the idea of a soul or the supernatural started. It probably originated in the general laziness of mankind, so said behavioral psychologist John B. Watson in 1925. In a 1928 book that he co-authored it was stated:
“This dogma has been present in human psychology from earliest antiquity.” NO ONE HAS EVER TOUCHED A SOUL OR SEEN A SOUL IN A TEST TUBE!” NO ONE IN ANY WAY HAS COME INTO A RELATIONSHIP WITH A SOUL AS WITH AN OBJECT OF DAILY EXPERIENCE!:
To Watson men are built and not born. He concluded this after a series of experiments on an 11 month old infant, saying, “Give me the baby and I will make it climb and use its hands in constructing buildings of stone, or wood---I can make it a thief, a gunman, or a dope fiend. The possibilities of shaping in any direction are endless. By 1929 established religion was well advanced in alluring spiritual virtues with the enlightened views of psychiatrists.
