Psalm 33:12 There are those who deny and those who belittle the christian foundation of the American Republic; those who seek to destroy the landmarks which our fathers set before us. Proverbs 22:28: The unyielding facts of history are impartial to their truth. Those facts reveal the errors of those who seek to deny our christian heritage. Here, in small part, is the record: “It is irrefutable justification for the claim that these United States of America were in their prenatal years--at their Birth-- and in their early days--a christian nation. - From 1490 to 1492 queen Isabella’s commission to Columbus as he set out to find new lands was given for the Glory of God according to Columbus’ personal log... Columbus’ purpose in seeking undiscovered worlds was to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to the heathens. It was the Lord who put into his mind that it would be possible to sail from there to the Indies. From Columbus’ Book of Prophecies: “I am the most unworthy sinner but I have cried out to the Lord for grace and mercy and it has covered me completely. No one should fear to undertake any task in the Name of our Savior if it is just and if the intention is purely for His Holy Service.”
