"The DON To The Rescue"
Years of government dysfunctionality has certainly taken its toll. You can't help but have this view Just look at the results of poll after poll. It reflects our dissatisfaction. We look for something new The politics of distrust explains the unpredictability of this 2016 Presidential race There is such loathing of career politicians. We turn to outsiders. We long for a fresh face We live in extraordinary times. Our elected branches of government is paralyzed and so incapable of governing Is it no wonder that we are fed up, truly disgusted. We are a country that's truly stressing There is a deepening malaise in our country. It is far worse than it was over forty years ago. Outside of the beltway voters suffer from a dispiritedness. It seems to grow and grow Insofar as our citizenry is engaged in the political process they seem drawn to flamboyant populists on the Left and the Right The Establishment tries to have us disregard a Trump and a Sanders. It doesn't work try as they might The discontent that we see is more palpable and pronounced on the Republican side Promises made to its base has remained unfulfilled. The inaction on Immigration has caused a deepening divide Most gravitate to a successful businessman. A Donald Trump. The pundits and media react in horror. What the hell do they know?? They see Trump as a true enemy. Does it come as a shock that we hate and they love the status quo?? It is not surprising that the House Freedom caucus and Trump supporters are the objects of such deep enmity They are both cause for great alarm for those who have been in control. The insidious powers that be The chickens have come host to roost as they say. For too long this GOP has neglected its political base The leadership has proven to be so damn dishonest. It has been a willing accomplice and enabler of a regime that has been a total disgrace In the beginning most believed the DON would wither in time under incessant and much criticism But to these naysayers they have gotten a harsh dose of realism More and more have come to realize that the electorate will take his word on face value. He is an intriguing public figure to be sure Trump speaks in a plain language that obviously resonates. There is such an intolerance for your typical politician and what we must endure Can the DON secure the nomination?? It is certainly more and more within his grasp The Presidency perhaps?? From the pundits and the media you would hear a most horrifying gasp!!
