Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia said the Supreme Court's ruling in favor of gay marriage shows just how much trouble American democracy is in.
In a strongly worded dissent, the conservative justice wrote that he did not care that gay marriage was now legal, but he said that the court's ability to make this decision represented a threat to democracy.
"I write separately to call attention to this Court’s threat to American democracy," Scalia wrote in the opening paragraph of his dissent.
"Today’s decree says that my Ruler, and the Ruler of 320 million Americans coast-to-coast, is a majority of the nine lawyers on the Supreme Court," Scalia said.

Obama’s Latest “Executive Amnesty” Order May Just Kill The Economy
There are two main components driving the nation’s illegal immigrant problem – the illegal immigrants themselves and the companies that employ them.
Up until now, the two remedies available to the federal government have been the deportation of illegal aliens from the country and fining the companies caught employing them.
As everyone knows, President Barack Obama has gutted the Border Patrol and tied the hands of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency to find, detain and deport illegal immigrants through a nice sounding policy called “deferred deportation’.
Now President Obama has dropped the other shoe. Effective immediately – and by Executive Order – the federal government will suspend enforcement actions against companies that hire illegal immigrants. That means no administrative actions, no fines, no criminal charges – nothing to take the profit out of illegal immigrant labor.
While this is a boom to the Chambers of Commerce and other business organizations it is is a knife in the heart of out-of-work Americans hoping for employment from companies offering jobs “Americans won’t do” – especially those in the construction, farming, landscaping and domestic service industries.
Illegal Alien Rapists – Obama Says You Can Stay
Thousands of illegal immigrants convicted of serious crimes—including rape, child molestation and kidnapping—have been released in the United States by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the agency doesn’t bother keeping track of the alien convicts.
The DHS agency responsible for removing dangerous illegal aliens, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), simply releases sex offenders when they complete their criminal sentence and fails to monitor or force them to register with local authorities in the communities where they resettle. The incredulous story of this outrageous system comes via an investigative series published this week in a Boston newspaper that sued the government for the records. It includes a database of criminals that one former federal prosecutor calls “chilling.” The offenders are “dangerous and predatory individuals who should not be prowling the streets,” the prosecutor says in the article. “In fact, they should not be in the United States at all.”
But our famously inept Homeland Security officials simply let these monsters loose in unsuspecting communities, even though one law enforcement agency cited in the series calls the illegal immigrant cons “the worst of the worst.” At the very least, ICE is supposed to assure that the thugs register with local authorities as sex offenders, but the agency doesn’t even bother to do that. Instead, once ICE frees the offenders, agency officials often lose track of them despite outstanding deportation orders. It’s like negligence on steroids. more

We hear the phrase bandied about that our government has been “infiltrated by the Muslim Brotherhood.”
That those who have openly called for the destruction of the United States are embedded in our government.
It sounds like something out of a spy novel.
But they say truth is stranger than fiction.
Valerie Jarrett, chief advisor to Obama—some say the most powerful person in the White House, even more so than Obama—made it her first piece of business in 2009 of addressing the Islamic Society of North America’s (ISNA) 46th annual convention.
ISNA was found to be a co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation case, guilty of funneling millions of dollars to Hamas.
The head of ISNA, Mohamed Magid, was fêted at the White House as recently as last August, sitting next to Obama at the Iftar dinner, a place normally reserved for heads of state.
Think about it. The head of an organization found guilty of funneling money to terrorists sitting next to the President of the United States.
You can’t make this stuff up.
And that is only the beginning of the Muslim Brotherhood’s tentacles within our government. There have been literally hundreds of meetings with the State Department, the FBI, and the White House (just to name a few), all with Muslim Brotherhood front groups associated with the Holy Land Foundation case.
Muslim Brotherhood front groups like the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) literally went in and purged hundreds of pages of FBI training materials of terms like “jihad” and “Islamist”, the rationale being that these terms “offended” Muslims.
What are we to surmise from all these facts? Is the whole world crazy?
No.
Our government has in fact been infiltrated; and the man sitting in the White House, Barack Hussein Obama, is a traitor.
It’s as simple as that.

Obama Admin Excluded Iran from Threat Assessment
Leading U.S. officials are expressing concern about newly disclosed efforts by the Obama administration to play down the terrorism threat posed by Iran in an official report issued this year.
Director of National Intelligence James Clapper admitted in a recent letter to top senators that the administration wrongly excluded references to the global terrorism threat posed by Iran and its terror affiliate Hezbollah in the 2015 World Threat Assessment of the U.S. Intelligence Community.
“A specific reference to the terrorist threat from Iran and Hizballah—which was not included in any of the drafts of the testimony [offered before lawmakers]—would have been appropriate for the 2015 Assessment, but the lack of its inclusion is in no way a change in the [intelligence community’s] assessment,” Clapper wrote in a June 3 letter to top senators.
Clapper’s letter came in response to an earlier letter from a delegation of senators who were seeking to discover why the Obama administration excluded references to Iran’s global terrorist operations. For more go here.

Muslim Jihadists Can Join American Military Forces To Be Trained By US Soldiers
The Obama administration has now given an invitation to jihadists to join military forces in the Middle East to be trained by US troops so that they can learn how to fight against Bashar al-Assad. Middle East analyst Robert Olson reports on the story:
Consequences of the U.S.-Gulf Cooperation Council summit at Camp David last month already seem to be falling into place, with significant geopolitical consequences regarding the civil wars in Syria and Iraq.
The first result seems to be that the Obama administration will offer no significant upgrade other than the 3,000 U.S. troops already in Iraq. The president announced last week that he would add a few hundred more military advisers, but Gulf Arabs will supply the fighting forces. In return, those countries will acquiesce to the U.S.-Iran nuclear agreement.
In addition there are several hundred military personnel in Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Turkey’s Incirlik NATO airbase where coalition forces, largely American, are training a reported 1,500 vetted fighters from Syria.
But the vetting process is haphazard, and undoubtedly many fighters who previously fought with other jihadist groups have joined vetted fighters.
The administration’s assessment that the American people don’t care that much about the wars in Iraq and Syria is correct, in spite of hawkish members of Congress who trumpet the need for more “boots on the ground.” This situation could quickly change if a Republican were to be elected president.
At the summit, the Obama administration reportedly also accepted that jihadist forces, some affiliated with al-Qaida, could also join the battle against the al-Assad regime.

IG report: TSA failed to identify 73 workers ‘linked to terrorism’.
On the heels of Transportation Security Administration workers flunking a security test at airport checkpoints, the results of a new audit show that — while the agency keeps a robust system for screening commercial airport workers — it still failed to flag 73 airport workers “linked to terrorism.”
Apparently, TSA does not have access to all the terror watchlist information it needs to make those judgments.
“The TSA did not identify these individuals through its vetting operations because it is not authorized to receive all terrorism-related categories under current interagency watch-listing policy,” the June 4 Inspector General report stated.
According to TSA data, the people in question were working for major airlines, airport venders and other employers.
The agency acknowledged that individuals in these categories “represented a potential transportation security threat,” according to the report.
The IG investigation is just the latest in a series that have called out the TSA for massive security breaches at some of the country’s largest airports.
Last week, news broke that undercover federal agents had a 95 percent success rate at sneaking fake bombs and other banned weapons past airport security checkpoints during multiple tests.
Acting TSA Administrator Melvin Carraway was re-assigned less than 24 hours after the report went public. The Senate homeland security committee plans to hold a hearing on the TSA security issue on Tuesday.
In an op-ed piece published Monday, Sen. Ben Sasse, R-Neb., wrote that last week’s full report should be made available to the public. Parts of it had been redacted.
“The publicly available facts are disturbing, but the classified details are even worse,” he wrote in USA Today. Continue

NEW YORK (AP) — The New York Police Department is working to recruit more Muslims, and is asking for help within the community to better refine outreach aimed at stifling the lure of overseas terror groups, officials said Monday.
Right now, there are about 800 Muslim uniformed police officers out of about 35,000, according to the NYPD Muslim Officers Society. Of those, only about 20 are higher ranked officials. Lt. Adeel Rana, commanding officer of the community affairs immigration outreach unit, said there has been a slow increase over the past decade, but it has been rapidly changing in the past year and a half.
“It’s changing every day; we are getting more and more recruits,” he said. “And as they see people of their own religion in uniform, their eyes brighten.”
So do the eyes of jihadists.
There has been an effort to increase openness and communication with the community since the new administration took over, stinging from a public outcry over the contentious stop, question and frisk policy and the surveillance of Muslims. A unit that investigated Muslims under the previous police commissioner was disbanded, and Commissioner William Bratton said Monday officials had worked hard to regain trust.
“We will not do anything to jeopardize that trust,” he said.

OBAMA-RAMA CONTINUES ON TRADE: President Barack Obama is making a last-minute push with members of Congress on trade legislation, White House spokesman Josh Earnest said Monday.
The Senate faces a key vote this morning on a cloture motion to limit debate on the fast-track bill, which cleared the House last week. If supporters can get the 60 votes needed to approve the motion, they will be in good shape for the vote Wednesday on the bill itself, which will only require a majority for passage.
The Senate passed a bill that combined TPA and Trade Adjustment Assistance in May by a vote of 62-37, with 14 Democratic senators voting yes. Senators are now being asked to vote separately on the two pieces of legislation, risking the possibility that TPA could pass but TAA fail.

If you are planning a trip to Seattle and want to eat at a nice restaurant, you might want to plan the trip now. Seattle’s restaurants are closing at an alarming rate.
What is driving these eateries to extinction? Could it be global warming? The Koch brothers? Actually, it is the Seattle city council.
That group of leftist ideologues, who have no concept of economics, decided it would be a great idea to mandate a minimum wage of $15 an hour. The federal minimum wage is $7.25 an hour. Seattle decided to ignore the consequences of reality and the laws of economics and mandated a minimum wage that is more than double the federal mandate.
Now, as April 1st, the date the minimum wage is supposed to begin to phase in, Seattle’s restaurants are closing. Not all of them are closing, but a lot of them are.
Seattle Magazine lamented the loss of the eating establishments and in a stunning show of truth talked about the mathematics of the new law.
Restaurants’ largest cost is labor. On average that is about 36 percent of revenue. When it is all said and done, these restaurants make about 4 percent profit. The new wage law drives labor costs up to 42 percent. There goes the profit and now these establishments are in the red.
The minimum wage is supposed to help those at the bottom. Instead, these workers are losing their jobs. Those fortunate enough to keep their jobs are either being cut to part time or are losing benefits.
Liberals say, “well these businesses can just raise their prices.”

Six years after the recession ended, many U.S. states are hard pressed to balance budgets because of a sluggish recovery and their own policy decisions. The fiscal fragility raises questions about how they will weather the next economic downturn.
A majority of states are making cuts, tapping reserves or facing shortfalls despite an improving national economy and stock markets at record levels, according to Standard & Poors and the Nelson A. Rockefeller Institute of Government. State revenue hasn’t rebounded to a prerecession peak adjusted for inflation, and other factors are putting pressure on budgets.
Alaska, Oklahoma and energy-producing states saw receipts fall with global oil prices. Kansas overestimated revenue after tax cuts, while New Jersey faces a shortfall thanks to unfunded pensions. Even some Republican governors have championed tax increases to avoid further diminishing services curtailed during the 18-month recession, the deepest downturn since the Great Depression.
“The extent of the weakness is really impressive,” said Donald Boyd, who tracks state finances at the Rockefeller Institute in Albany, New York. “There’s a lot of pressure on governors and legislators.”
Thirty-two states faced budget gaps in fiscal 2015 or 2016 or both, according to an April 27 report by Standard & Poors. The fiscal year ends June 30 in all but four states. continue

We live in a secretive surveillance state that has virtually no accountability, transparency, or checks and balances of any kind. As Jordan Michael Smith, writing for the Boston Globe, concludes about the American government:
There’s the one we elect, and then there’s the one behind it, steering huge swaths of policy almost unchecked. Elected officials end up serving as mere cover for the real decisions made by the bureaucracy...
Third, question everything. Don’t assume anything government does is for the good of the citizenry. Again, that is not the purpose of modern government. It exists to perpetuate a regime. Remember the words of James Madison, considered the father of the U.S. Constitution: “All men having power ought to be distrusted to a certain degree.” Power corrupts. And as the maxim goes, absolute power corrupts absolutely.
Fourth, materialism is a death knell to freedom. While it may be true that Americans are better off than citizens of other nations—we have jobs, food, entertainment, shopping malls, etc.—these are the trappings meant to anesthetize and distract us....
Fifth, there is little hope for any true resistance if you are mindlessly connected to the electronic concentration camp. Remember, what you’re being electronically fed by those in power is meant to pacify, distract, and control you. You can avoid mind manipulations to a large degree by greatly limiting your reliance on electronic devices—cell phones, laptops, televisions, and so on.
Sixth, an armed revolt will not work. Although we may have returned to a 1776 situation where we need to take drastic actions to restore freedom, this is not colonial America with its muskets and people’s armies. Local police departments have enough militarized firepower to do away with even a large-scale armed revolt. Even attempting to repel a SWAT team raid on your home is futile. You’ll get blown away.
Seventh, be wise and realize that there is power in numbers. Networks, coalitions, and movements can accomplish much—especially if their objectives are focused and practical—and they are very much feared by government authorities. That’s why the government is armed to the teeth and prepared to put down even small nonviolent protests.
Eighth, act locally but think nationally. The greatest impact can be had at local governing bodies such as city councils. Join together with friends and neighbors and start a Civil Liberties Oversight Committee. Regularly attend council meetings and demand that government corruption be brought under control and that police activities be brought under the scrutiny of local governing bodies and, thus, the citizenry....
Ninth, local towns, cities and states can nullify or say “no” to federal laws that violate the rights and freedoms of the citizenry. In fact, several states have passed laws stating that they will not comply with the National Defense Authorization Act which allows for the military to indefinitely detain (imprison) American citizens. Again, when and if you see such federal laws passed, gather your coalition of citizens and demand that your local town council nullify such laws. If enough towns and cities across the country would speak truth to power in this way, we might see some positive movement from the federal governmental machine.
Tenth, understand what freedom is all about. “Who were the first persons to get the unusual idea that being free was not only a value to be cherished but the most important thing that someone can possess?” asks Professor Orlando Patterson. “The answer in a word: slaves.”

This writer's rather pessimistic view of the upcoming 2016 national election is that no matter who gets elected, they will quickly be brought into line with "The Plan".
When one examines the events of the past 6 years, the evolution of how America has been betrayed becomes more obvious. However, the nation has been slowly and covertly undercut since the end of WWII.
The evidence for this sentiment rests in the events during the decades since the creation of the UN. That process is now on The Highway To Hell at warp speed.
Can it be stopped in the present environment of denial, useful idiot collusion, and/or physical, mental, emotional, spiritual exhaustion?
Are there enough of the those who are aware to lead the fight and carry it through to victory? Or will they be defeated by the enemy within--- corrupt leaders, those who wish to "transform" our nation in the name of "social Justice" (read totalitarian rule), useful idiots, and the intellectually lazy who are content with their bread and circuses?
