Who are the Real Traitors?

Note: This post is in response to a letter to the editor of our local newspaper, The Intelligencer.  The writer stated that the 47 Senators who sent a letter to the Iranians, should be arrested for treason. Below is Mr. Byrne's response to that letter.

I beg to differ. I do believe he had the arrestee backwards. It is the President and the Secretary of State, who are giving aid and comfort to our enemies.

 President Obama has failed miserably in living up to his oath of office, in which he swore, he would enforce and defend the laws of the United States. He has continuously cherry-picked what laws he would and would not enforce. He has made up his own laws out of hole cloth, while by-passing Congress, which has the Constitutional duty to pass all legislation.

Any one who watches television, has got to have their hearts torn apart when they see the ads asking for donations ,for our brave wounded warriors. These brave men and women deserve our unending thanks and support.

But do you realize ,that Iran and it's leaders are the most responsible for these horrific injuries and deaths to our military? It is the country of Iran and it's Republican guard that produced and planted most of the roadside bombs, responsible for these acts. They have committed these acts with absolutely zero response from the Obama Administration. 

To the contrary the Obama Administration has practically gone begging to the Iranians, to sign some type of deal, even when the International Atomic Energy Association has constantly said, that Iran is not even living up to it's present promises. This is akin to the State of Israel, if it existed at that time, to be negotiating with the Third Reich, to halt their Nuclear Bomb ambitions.

Far from being traitors, I believe the 47 Senators who were brave enough to stand up for what they believe in, and in defense of their Country, are the true Patriots. 

 Please when you see the videos of our brave wounded warriors, remember who is most responsible for most their injuries, Iran. Don't allow our government to negotiate with evil, and remember to thank the 47 brave Senators for their patriotism.
