First Lady Michelle Obama has been called many things — dishonest, arrogant, lazy, entitled, overbearing, spoiled, whiny … even racist.
But one thing I’ve never heard anyone accuse her of is possessing an overabundance of class. Or, for that matter, even a modicum of good taste.
A new revelation from “Michelle Obama: A Life,” a biography by Peter Slevin, isn’t likely to cause anyone to change their minds about that.
In the book, Slevin tells of Obama’s experiences at a day camp, describing the future first lady as the “most capable in her age group.” Unfortunately for her, however, he also describes something else at which she was overly adept at a young age: cursing.
Her language was so inappropriate, in fact, that she was passed over for one of the camp’s highest awards.
“I was going through my cursing stage,” Michelle reportedly said about the incident. “I didn’t realize until my camp counselor at the end came up and said: ‘You know, you would have been best camper in your age group, but you curse so much.’”
What a typical liberal. Her “cursing stage” — as if that’s an explanation. Heaven forbid she actually take responsibility for her actions and admit that she was wrong and had to change.
“I thought I was being cool,” she also said.
Apparently, when her mom found out, she took direct action to clean up Michelle’s filthy mouth (H/T Mad World).
Maybe we should tell her mom about the wreck Michelle is making of America’s school lunch program. Perhaps she could do something about that, too.
