Thank You, To the many across the country who desired a new direction and leadership

Congressman Yoho's statement:
Yesterday, upon nominating Representative Webster, Congressman King relayed a Mark Twain quote: ‘In the beginning of a change, the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot.’ I just wanted to take a moment to thank those who stood up yesterday against the status quo. They are the patriots that Mark Twain spoke of.
A few months ago, the American people handed us the baton and have voiced a desire for conservative change in our country. The
Representatives that you saw yesterday bravely stood up against the
status quo, knowing the consequence of their actions. They recognized that they were elected to do what was right, not what was easy.
They made a principled stand on behalf of the constituents that elected them, and they should be commended. Instead, my friends Representative Webster and Representative Nugent have already been taken off their committee, and Representative Webster has been blocked from bringing good legislation to the floor. This is wrong. It is wrong to punish a Member of Congress for voicing the opinion of their constituents. If we do not have that ability, then what purpose do we serve?

I applaud my friends Daniel Webster and Louie Gohmert for
their bravery in offering an alternative to the status quo--in trying to
enact the change our constituents so loudly voiced. To them, and the many others who stood strong yesterday, I say thank you. To the many across the country who desired a new direction and leadership, I say we heard you. It may have been a precious few, but a spark can light a torch and now you know there are 25 torchbearers who can lead the way.
Please take a moment to thank these representatives for their bravery. I, for one, was proud to stand with them."

So let me ask you...are you ready for a change? Join the
Convention of States movement

As a resident of your district, I urge you to take action to restore meaningful constitutional limits on the federal government.
