I missed This One, Urban Death Project, Turning Human Corpses Into Compost

No, this is not a sick joke. The fact that such a concept could even exist in some one's mind in our society is beyond the pale. Do we really want to harvest our tomatoes knowing that one of our elderly relatives "contributed" to their growth?
This is just one more example of how anything can be rationalized.

"....the project would need to obtain a license to operate a funeral home, according to the Washington state Department of Licensing. It would also have to tackle local zoning restrictions, which require composting facilities to be outside populated areas.

But before those issues can be addressed, the group and its proponents would have to push through a change to state law, which requires that all human remains be buried, cremated, donated to science or transferred out of state.
"For this project to work in Washington state, at a minimum there would need to be a change in state law," said James Apa, a spokesman for Public Health - Seattle and King County......"
