The rhetoric intensifies as another Grand Jury refuses to indict
Law Enforcement is being scrutinized. They are in the spotlight
Two young black men lose their lives at the hands of the police
Nationwide protests are being organized. There is no peace
These deaths were a tragedy. This is not about race in my view
The cases were dissimilar as can be. Most people believe this is true
Government officials look at these deaths through the prism of race
The facts don't bear out that any act of racism caused this to take place
The death in New York City is troubling and that we all feel and know
The reaction of the police seemed very excessive. It is on video
Sharpton will be on the loose. He will stir passions that will no doubt incite
This decision by the Grand Jury makes no sense. It does not seem right
To not return any kind of indictment is truly incomprehensible
The action of the police is so troubling and is in no way defensible
But the element of racism we hear in the words of Mayor DeBlasio
This is a familiar path that he and many others are eager to go
Words spoken by officials must be even tempered and not inflammatory
For there are race baiters among us who will exploit this tragedy
Future guidelines given to law enforcement must be sensible and just
Between each and every community and its police there must be better trust
