"You saved me from
falling, but you stepped on my hat!" the old man groused to his son.
Beware, you ungrateful,
who love to be hateful!
You can't see you're
blessed, for you're constantly stressed;
You bitch at free food
even while you've a plateful!
"Why must I always
put up with this crap?" yelled the man in the cool homeless shelter.
He wasn't happy with his
lumpy pillow while outside more destitute sweltered.
Beware, thankless man,
you find fault where you can!
This air of ingratitude
is a clear sinful attitude;
See the gifts
overflowing your hand!
"I love to find
errors. I live to count wrongs," is the mantra of this angry strain.
They're up to their
neck in silver and gold but all they must to is complain.
You wouldn't criticize
if you opened your eyes!
Look at all God has done,
poor unthankful one;
All your efforts are
full of mad lies!
There always is
something to be grateful for from the time your feet hit the floor.
Remember what Jesus did
on that cruel cross for your sins, now complain no more.
If you just praise the
Lord, you'll never get bored!
It's hard to complain down
on your knees; lift your eyes and then thank Him, please!

1 "But know
this: Difficult times will come in the last days.
2 For people will
be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, proud,
blasphemers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,
3 unloving,
irreconcilable, slanderers, without self control,
brutal, without love for what is good,
4
traitors,
reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasures
rather than lovers of God,
5 holding to the
form of godliness but denying its power.
Avoid these people!"
