A Prayer (A Tribute to The Anima Christi)

Save me, Beloved,

for I am lost without You.

Rescue me, Saviour.

The world presses in from all sides,

obstructing my view of You.

Heal Me, Jesus. I am sick with sin and groan for forgiveness.

Teach me, Master.

Show me how to understand our Father's will.

Forgive me, Lord.

I always seem to fall behind,

stumbling and tripping on my failures.

Protect me, King of Kings. The serpent is always just outside,

waiting.

Help me, Brother.

Lighten my load with Your love.

Thank You, Redeemer! You delivered me

with Your glorified blood.
