Temptation comes to us
in many forms,
to test our faith and so
our need for God;
whatever comes our way
as raging storms
Satan knows our
weaknesses so well
and uses all resources
toward our fall.
Call on the Lord and
let His Spirit dwell;
He can and will protect
you from it all.
There is no thing on
Earth you can't withstand
by letting God defend
your weary heart;
temptation can be
overcome and banned
if you let God His
strength in you impart.
Remember, always call His name for aid
when dark temptation makes you weak and frayed.
No temptation has overtaken you except what
is common to humanity.
God is faithful, and He will not allow you to
be tempted beyond what you are able,
but with the temptation He will also provide
a way of escape
so that you are able to bear it.
