Everything That Breathes (a Sonnet)

Let everything that breathes shout out in praise

To God the Author of its very life!

Raise up your voice and worship all your days

For this is even worth some pain and strife.

Fill up your lungs with air and yell with joy!

This very moment God is blessing you,

So don't be shy to thank Him, don't be coy!

Instead, be grateful ere this time is through!

Become a good example, lift your voice

So everything that lives may do the same!

Give all creation now another choice

To thank the Lord with cries of great acclaim!

            Let all with breath praise God with voice and song!

            We love you Lord, to You we do belong!
