Rejoice, my friend,
now see the empty tomb!
Eternal life has put
an end to doom!
Sing praise! The
resurrected Christ now lives!
Unchain the bonds
of death, the fear it gives!
Rise from your
knees, here is our risen Lord!
Realize His
broken body's now restored!
Ensnared no more
by anguish and decay,
Christ Jesus is
alive this Easter day!
This risen Savior
took on all our sins,
Immersed them in
His blood, now life begins!
O friend, see how
our Lord has conquered death!
No need to fear
your final earthly breath!
God raised him from the dead,
freeing him from the agony of death,
because it was impossible for death to keep
its hold on him.
